Safety, Housing, and Classmate Troubles

Postby Anystazya » Sun May 31, 2009 8:35 pm

Okay, well, I have different requests this time than my other thread, so I decided to start another one...

First off, I want to ask for safety for my dad, who is going to a conference for a few days tomorrow (Monday). He's coming back Thursday. So, just wanna pray for his safe drive and that he has a good time and everything :thumb:

Secondly, my sister needs a place to stay at the start of the next school year, along with three of her C4C friends who'll be rooming with her. They've been phoning and looking around for a place, so I want to ask that people pray that they'll be able to find a good, affordable place to stay that is close to their university and just right for them.

And, there's another concern of mine that's been going on for a while now. There's a girl in my grade who is a bit problematic. She lies. A lot. And gets into fights over the stupidest things. She also calls herself a Christian. However, I fear that this is not true. One of my friends overheard her say something once to an older student who was basically putting down Christianity and church and stuff...apparently, she said, 'Well, I go to church, but that doesn't mean I'm a Christian.' She's also gone to me, or another of my friends, for 'help', and shows no notion of asking God to help her...I have a feeling that she is just trying to put up a front in front of me, the pastor's kid...she is taking advantage of the fact that I'm generally a very trusting person...but sometimes, my patience for her wears thin...Everybody knows she lies a lot; we've caught her in the middle of one numerous times...It's very difficult to put up with her at times...So, I want to pray that I, and the others in my class, will learn how to be patient with her...but mostly, I want prayers for her herself. She needs to find the Lord. She says she's a Christian, but the way she says things and the way she goes about don't show that at all. She needs prayers for help, and that the Lord will guide her to Him. Because, well, no matter what everyone else thinks of her, God loves her, and wants her to see Him for who He really is.

Thanks for prayers and everything ^^

Thanks, Roz and Tsukuyomi ^^

Mm, I'll try to see if talking will do anything, but she's the type to blow things out of proportion, and will lie to get herself out of the hot-spot...I actually talked to my parents about this, and my dad showed my a verse about, how you warn a divisive person once, and then warn him again, but if he does not change after that, have nothing to do with him...

Also, my dad just got back. As in, just walked in the door. ^^ I suspect he had a good time ^^

And, I have a concert tonight! >.< The first part of my hectic next couple of weeks. I think after the fourteenth things will begin to calm down a bit...

Your Dad is a wise person. Excellent verse for this case.

Good job for being a good example of what someone looks like when they have Jesus in there life. :thumb:

:red: thank you, Roz. Means a lot to me, to be honest :)

And, yay, I did my concert yesterday, had a fine time, except our drummer decided not to come...>.< Well, whatever. Tonight, there's a baseball game with three of the youth groups in three towns around this area, and tomorrow is a fund-raiser 3-on-3 basketball game. I hope I'll have fun! ^^

I've definitely experienced this same frustration with a few of my close friends. I'm just really thankful God blessed me with my best friends. Lucky enough to be able to hang out with a 29 year old youth pastor and 28 civil eng at the age of 19 - God is good!

Well, the thing is, I've already gone through problems with my closest friend, and we made it through better...but this is different. She just joined our class in October, and nobody in my class really likes her very much because of the way she acts. I really need wisdom and patience with this ^_^ and she'll say things sometimes that are so frustrating, and puts down people all the time, including her old pastor. I wish I could help her, but sometimes, I feel like it's beyond my power to do anything about it...I know you can do anything with God, but this isn't between me and God, it's between her and God.

Everyone acts the way they do for a million different personal reasons. Perhaps the young lady is acting this way is the fact that she is in need of attention. She realizes that because you and her attend a Christian school, she can get negative attention by saying such things.
People need and desire a degree of attention, and bad attention is better than none.
It is something to consider.

I'll be praying.
Jeremiah 29:11-"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players; they have their entrances and their exits and one man in his time plays many parts."-Will Shakespeare

Actually, I don't go to a Christian school. I'm a pastor's daughter, so that's why I think she's trying make herself look good in my eyes...But I understand the attention thing. Not the brightest thing, but...eh. I know she has issues within her family (I'm pretty sure that she has a different dad than all her siblings, and her dad and parents doesn't care much for her, and now, her mom is getting married to a different guy who's been living with them). That's another thing she needs prayers about...it's a bit of a problematic situation...^^'
