I'm almost done with Sailor Moon R. I only have like 3 episodes left...

Finally went and watched the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy to get myself acquainted with the Universal Century stuff. It was pretty enjoyable; Char was awesome. I'm wondering what to do next. I'm choosing between the daunting task of going through a 50-episode series like Zeta Gundam or having a look at one of the OVAs that take place around the One Year War.

You will really need to see the Gundam 0083 OVA series, before you watch Zeta Gundam. You will understand Zeta Gundam a lot better if you do.

As for 08TH MS team and Gundam 0080, you really don't have to see those right a way. They are just side stories that take place right at the end of the One Year War.

Very well done. And WOW but are they ever flying through this! Going at breakneck speed, but I'm loving it! :)

I'm thinking of getting into a new series, but I couldn't decide, so I took a look at the first episode of the following:

Kaiba: This is unlike anything I've ever seen. Everything about the show is as mind-breaking as the art style. In fact, the art style is pretty deceptive for the themes that the show explores.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory: After watching the MSG movie trilogy, the animation quality in this is back to where I'm comfortable. I think I'll really like this one, since it's closer to what I expect of a Gundam. Also, I am pretty excited to see suits like the GP-01 and the GP-02a in action.

Ichigo Mashimaro: This was the safe choice for me. If you're at all familiar with my viewing habits, you'll know that I enjoy a good slice of life show. This one is reminding me of stuff like Manabi Straight and Hidamari Sketch.

Since these are all 12 or 13 episodes, I think I'll be able to watch them in parallel until one of them grabs me. Also needing to be finished and in the tank are the rest of Casshern Sins, Honey and Clover, and possibly Kamichu.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood Episode 6. Ahh, I'm on Cloud 9....

I've also got my mom watching Trigun. We've watched episodes 1-7, and we're both loving it. I'd forgotten just how silly and hilarious Vash and Milly, in particular, are.

Someone managed to get subs out of the first Denpa teki na Kanojo OVA. It's based on a series of light novels that are set in the same world as Kure-nai, and it also happens to be produced by the same studio that did the Kure-nai anime, Brains Base. Of course, we don't see any characters from Kure-nai, at least not yet, and even then, I hear the involvement by them is tangential at best. The episode itself had some Higurashi vibes, with the crazy girls and all. Overall, pretty good and I'm looking forward to more.

I have now moved to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle episode 9! I'm moving up in the series. Also, for good measure, I'll be watching Bleach 117-118 and Code Geass R2 19-20 tonight.

I just finished Kaiba, and it is definitely one of the most unique, mindblowing, and amazing series I've watched. Weird and unique art style, a great love story, and an interesting examination of stuff like data, mortality, and identity. In spite of what you may think looking at its art style, it's incredibly deep and dark and is definitely intended for a mature audience. It's a series that really expands your preconceptions of the medium.

Sakura Wars episode 20-25 COMPLETED

I still can't get over the hilarity of a Russian serving the Japanese government during the interwar period.

Also, I can second Kaiba as a show worth watching.

Watching Noein - very surreal. The animation, storyline, everything!

Also, making my way through Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok. Anime, Norse myths, and detective stories all wrapped up in one...how can you go wrong? lol...

By turning it into a filler vague-magical-problem-of-the-week show.

Nah, I like the Matantei Loki manga, which, while granted, is MUCH better than the anime, still isn't the best thing ever, but the characters are appealing.

I'm on episode 16-ish of Voltes V, and on episode 10 of Gundam 00.

Also, since when is Gurren Lagann on TV? I was at a friend's last night and they had it on SciFi, and there was Gurren Lagann. I guess nobody cares since everyone's seen it already. (Except me. XD)

1. Everyone should watch Gurren Lagann.
2. I believe Sci Fi has aired the entire thing sometime last year. I remember people talking about it about the same time the sub-only DVDs were available in North America.

The Tokyo Arc of Otogi Zoshi.

Ok, and is it just me, or is the ending song for this arc the same tune as the one that Haruhi "sings" (read: lip syncs) during the 'Zuka play in Ouran High School Host Club?! I'm thinking it's episode 19 or something, but I could be wrong...lol.

Almost done with the first season of Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch. I'm on episode 47. I'm trying to speed through some of the shojo series I've been watching for awhile to make some more room for shonen.
