Pumpkin Scissors and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ep 4.

So far, loving PS, and this episode of FMA, tragic though it was, I liked better than the last one. They sure are flying through the story!

RideBack episode 12 COMPLETED
Sakura Wars episode 17-19

That's right, I almost forgot the Imperial Flower Combat Troop is also a theater group. Pretty convenient that the bad guys never hit up the box office.

And RideBack ended, much as it began.

I finally gave in and decided to have a look at Macross Frontier, which is also my first Macross. It's got high production values across the board and the characters are pretty good. I can't say that I liked Alto very much, though. The CG was better than I expected, and the music tying in with the plot was less tacky than I thought it'd be. Basically, pretty good.

I also watched the Spice and Wolf II OVA. While I'm excited for more Spice and Wolf, I'd forgotten just how much talking there is. Also, I'm Horo was kind of out of character in the OVA. In the first season, she was sarcastic, proud, and full of spunk, but in the OVA, she was basically a moeblob. I'm hoping it's not a trend that continues into the second season.

Going through Pani Poni Dash. Again. For the Our-Lord-only-knows-how-many-th time. And I still laugh like an idiot when I'm watching it.

Also finally going through Fate / Stay Night.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood episode 5 - Loved it!
Wolf's Rain - watching it dubbed for the first time, and am surprised at how well it's done. First time I've seen a series dubbed by someone other than Funimation that I actually enjoy!
Otogi Zoshi - so far, loving it!
Pumpkin Scissors - Awesome series

And realized out of the blue that there is a common seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) in all these series...can anyone guess who? ;) He's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Yakitate Japan ep.53-69 - Not bad at all, they got back to their roots at the end and it came out pretty well. I recommend this anime to anyone curious about why an anime about baking bread would even get made.

:thumb: I'd say that's the best dub I've ever seen, tied with Haibane Renmei's. Crispin Freeman is awesome! XD

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood episodes 3-5 -

FFVII: Last Order - Very well done, I thought. It explained what happened with Cloud and Zack a lot better than the game did :P

FFVII: Advent Children - It was pretty much what I expected it would be: awesome if you're a fan, unintelligible if you're not. The animation was amazing, the Japanese voices fit perfectly (the dub was just gross except for Vincent and maybe Cloud), and the action was really cool, if very unrealistic. As for the story, it was...okay.

Vexille - Pretty good. Amazing animation; they did motion capture, so all the movements look really realistic. The story was surprising - I never thought I'd see a movie made by Japanese who make the Japanese out to be the bad guys. But it was pretty cool. I only watched the dub, so probably the Japanese voices were even better, but the dub wasn't too shabby. I was impressed with how much better Travis Willingham did with Leon than he had with Roy Mustang.

And also, just because, I watched part of Full Metal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa. And successfully made myself miserable :shady:

Dusted off some old DVDs today. Watched "The Daichis: Earth Defense Family".

Sometimes the old stuff is just better for turning your brain off in front of.

And. I also got to finish off "Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto". Mixed feelings about the story (although it certainly is a compelling one) but what an interesting and unique animation technique. It's like something Ralph Bakshi would come up with if he worked in a Japanese animation studio.

Hmm well now lets see, currently I am in the middle of watching: Darker Than Black, Cowboy Bebop (for the 3rd time), Full Metal Panic, Gundam 00, Black Lagoon, Naruto and Bleach, and D Gray-Man.

There are a couple of other series I was in the middle of watching...But life calls :stressed:, and has put most anime watching (even the listed series above) on the backburner, so to speak...
