Dan don't know what he believe in anymore

Postby Yahshua » Thu Feb 26, 2009 12:07 pm

*Sighs* Ah Dan don't know what he believe in anymore. As matter of fact he is also don't know if he should take the communion this upcoming Sunday with so much has happened to him. It all began with the following threads http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=46011
http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=47042
http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=49180
http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=51103
http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=51573
. He feel hurts and angry and in deep pain and ah he feel so much betrayal from God and wonder if God really hears his prayer. And the biggest betrayal that God has done to Dan is that on fourth Graduate Record Exam when he has trouble in the quantitative section of the exam and he prayed to God for help He the God decided not to show up and not only that his score went so far down it went from 580 to 450. And so lately Dan wondering how to move on with his life and what meaning is there to continue to lives on when his hardworking does not pay it off nor was the prayer for other and for himself. Like for example he prayed for his cousin to be brought back to health at last God took her away from her family and her husband my brother in law called Dan's family and says he was in deep pain. Also Dan has been praying for other at CAA and they are not getting better either. So what should Dan believe in? And how should Dan move on? *Sighs* Ah and Lately Dan has watched the PBS Nova entitle The Bible's Buried Secret http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/bible/ it shows that maybe the God we worshiped isn't the one we thought about. Plus also with NBC's Last Templar and other shows it make Dan more feel that the God we worshiped isn't trustworthy. Overall Dan feel like those Jews who had lived through the Holocaust and wondering where is God and why don't God help him. Lately Dan is wondering what should he lives for? For God He has betray Dan. For future wife. The Future wife would be better off with someone else. For my own family which including CAA's family I am just not so sure. And lately when Dan awake everyday it is look upon the many failure of his life. Although he has a "job" now but the "job" he does is not the "job" he wanted. And so Dan is hurts in pain and stopped doing daily devotion and prays and also watching porn online does not lessen the pain either. And lastly don't want to have a pity party Dan wondering why can't he born normal but with this disability in his life why is God design him this way. And why did God take something that Dan think he is good at? And Dan also wonder why he just don't turn his pillow over and join his cousin in death? And why should he continue to lives on Earth and to be a burden to other? And so Dan don't know what he believe in anymore.

God has answered every prayer you've ever prayed. Sometimes He answers "No."

God tries our faith. Mine's been tried ever since my dad left in 2005. Today, most of my family is gone, my sister is being rebellious and has left and I'm living in someone's basement with no job and only a few coins to my name.

Job had it worse than you. God even ALLOWED Satan to take away everything Job possessed, except his life. Family, income, a home, health, etc. Did Job let Satan over take his faith and think that God was being unfair?

Paul was ship wrecked, imprisoned and almost killed.

John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded.

Jesus Christ was crucified, the Sin of the World on His shoulders.

As Christians, we will see deliverance out of hard times. Sometimes, that deliverance is death unto Heaven.

80 years of pain and hardships is well worth eternity in Heaven.

What this world means for evil, God will use for good. And we will see that good come to pass, but not if we give up early in the race.

God's ways are not our ways. Obviously, with everything that has happened to you and you loved ones, His plan is something different from what you want.

Cut out the porn. It'll make things worse and people will think you're a pervert, since it's for perverts.

I have to agree with Shao. What she said is so true. God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we want, and sometimes we have to wait a while before what we want to happen happens.

I understand your spiritual struggles. We all go through them. The Christian life is not an easy one. But God promises us that all things are to the good of his people. (Romans 8:28) Bad things do not mean that God doesn't love you anymore. He is trying you, testing you, in order to help you grow and become stronger in the end. You will face many trials in your walk with Him, and even doubt him, but remember, God is always faithful. He will always love us no matter how many times we forsake him. "Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you tahn the birds?" Luke 12:24. God will always take care of you, even if we can't see it at the time or don't see how what he is doing in our lives could be 'caring for us'. Philippians 4:19 says "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."; "For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock." Psalm 27:5.

I'll be praying for you. Just remember, you are not alone, you have God. And you are not the first to go through something like this. Confide in your fellow christians, they can understand your struggles and off their support and advice. Hang in there, Dan, God will help you through this. He is with you always.

"For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . . "- Psalm 37:28

"I am the Lord your God. I am holding your hand, so don't be afraid. I am here to help you." Isaiah 41:13
"Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!" - Psalm 31:24

Everything happens for a reason. God does not heap trials on us for the sole purpose of seeing us suffer. Think of it this way: Metal has to be put through a LOT of fire and pounding and hammering before it can become a sword. God is the swordsmith and we are the metal.

Lifting you up in prayer, my brother.

For the most part I agree with what else has been said here. I would also add, try not to put too much stock into what NBC, PBS, or anything like them say about God. Hollywood and academia aren't exactly the most theologically correct sources and certainly aren't known for being objective, especially when it comes to spiritual things.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Hey buddy, Im really sorry about what has happened to you. First off I will agree with what everyone else has said thus far. One thing you HAVE to remember is that this world was not meant for us. God wants us to be in heaven, but we must live our lives first. Never lose heart in God, I have doubted God before and even doubted if there really was a God. But a sermon at church the very next day to never doubt that there is a God and that He loves you with all His heart. Right now you are under Satan's heaviest attacks. The easy thing to do is just to give in like so many others. What is hard is actually standing up to Satan and yelling at him to get out of your life. He will never completely leave you, but you can keep him out if you choose. As a Christian Satan will attack you much more than some unsaved person because God has you and Satan wants to take you away from him. Please, I know times are hard and seem unbearable, but you must NEVER stop thinking about God and WAITING upon Him. Believe me, you need to wait and believe upon God untill the day you die. God will answer your prayers, He has not abandoned you. He may be testing your faith at the moment to see if He can give you the blessings that He wants to give you. So I say just keep on truckin' along and never give up on God!

Definetly praying for ya Dan!

Don't give up hope, trials come and this a part of life. I will give you an example about a woman that is very close to me.

When she was 15 her parents, who already had 11 children, would beat her with tree limbs and come after them with machetes in the pueblo. At 15 she decided to run away from home and make a living for herself. She went on to a different part of Mexico and never married, yet she had 2 kids with one guy and another one with another, both of whom cheated on her and left her.

Then she found that the only job that she could do was being a maid for someone, therefore having to leave all three of her children living with her parents and other siblings.

Now let me tell you, she knew God existed but was not really a Christian. About 9 years ago she became a true strong Christian, and yet her children still lived in poverty with a house with no toilet and where you had to go get breakfast out of the garden.

Anyways, although she became a Christian, she still continued to have anger problems and dealt with a Chronic cough that would come every time the weather changed. These problems, in between many, made her doubt about God in several ocations. However, one day she realized that God had been at her door all this time and she had never realized it.

Now she is going to Church 3 to 4 times a week, constantly reading her Bible, visiting tons of people in jail and in the rural areas of Mexico to preach them the Gospel of Christ. Her girls are now fully Christian and attend to Church about 2 times a week, all in all, God came through even when times were rough,

Moral of the Story: God will come true, even if it takes unbelievable trials. One thing that is always good to remeber is that a trial is to break you down so that you can grow.

One of the rules when you stand before a king at a bankuet and you are his special guest is to sit as far as you can from him to show respect. Then, when he sees you sitting so far, he will call you forth and honor you from among all of his guests, and so it is with God.

Sometimes we go through trials because we have elevated ourselves far from our respectable level. All of us have our levels of faith, but the important thing is for us to share our faith and understand that God is with us all no matter how much we believe, just like the Bible says, if you just have faith like a mustard seed, you will be able to move the mountain.

The mountain in this case is our trials and problems that we come across on a daily basis and the mustard seed, although it is among the smallest seeds in the world also grows to be one of the largest trees.

And so, all in all, my counsel is this, that you pray and believe. Believe with all your mind, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strenght, and God will most definitely come through.
May God bless you Brother,
Your sister in Christ,

DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!! God put us here for a reason, not just a season, so let God who controls our lives, decide when to end them.

P.S. Thanks for being kind to me, YOU'RE GREAT! ^_^

A million hugs

Well for one, the Porn is not helping. You can't live in sin, especially when you know its wrong, and be 'right' with God. He still loves you, but because He loves you he chastens you. I was thinking, perhaps life has been going roughly because of this sin. Its definitely something you need to put away from yourself.

Might I suggest watching the movie "Fireproof". Though you may not be looking to get married anytime soon, it still has an excellent example of God's love for us and I think it can help you. A lot of stuff in it applies not only to couples, but to us as individual Christians. Its a good movie and has a good moral and message. I think you can benefit from watching it, especially with what you are going through.

I can't think of anything else right now, I'll post more again later if I think of more advice. Still praying for you, Dan!

Hey Dan, I'm just going to throw this out there.

I know you're constantly taking the GREs and not really getting a satisfactory grade. I know that you're probably studying many hours a day to pass. You seem very focused on doing this one thing.

But... is this what God wants you to do? From what I've noticed, I think that you keep trying to do something and thinking that God is going to help you with it. Now I don't know what his will is for you in life, but... it looks like you're trying to make what you want in your life as God's will. Instead, seek him to know what he wants to do in your life?

Good advice. Its possible that God is trying to show you this isn't the direction He wants you to take in life. Think and Pray about this as well.

It certainly sounds as though you have a lot on your mind Dan. So in the interest of not rambling on, consider a few points:

The only reason anything GOOD happens at all, to anyone, is because of Gods hand of Grace restraining constant evil. If not for that, humanity would certainly destroy its self (or even be able to live at all).

Also remember that God is not a magic genie who only works when we need a favor or extra help. He is alive and active in all aspects of creation, your life and mine from before we were born.

But this does not mean that every part of our life will be comfortable or easy. We are called to worship God (as Job did) in our deepest despair as well as our highest joys. "Though He destroy me, I will trust in Him." Job 13:15

This also doesn't mean you have to pretend you are happy. There is nothing wrong with praying to God, and telling Him how frustrated you are and hurt you feel.

Remember, when seeking Gods dirrection for your life, being in His word is the best place. God desires an obedient heart, and when you turn all other aspects of your life toward Him, then you will see his leading more clearly. In those times of confusions and despair, turning out God is probably the least helpful solution.

The good news is that when Christ finally returns our real lives will begin. ^_^

Also, just a side note. I wouldnt believe what TV tells you about the Bible and God. Read the Bible your self, read literature from scholars who have been regenerated (and have studied the scriptures their whole lives) and seek counsel from Godly men and women. As with so many other things, you cant believe everything you see on TV.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
