What does a bunch of scruffy guys with guitars who play like AC/DC have to do with Industrial music? The closest I can figure is that they listen to a lot of New Wave/Glam/Goth bands that barely rubbed off on them.

VNV Nation - Futureperfect

I must say, initially I liked this album for a while, but then discovered gritty Industrial and didn't like how Futurepop departed from that, so I filed this away. However, looking at it now from the angle of Synthpop rather than Industrial, this is a very good album.

Combichrist - Today We Are All Demons

I must say, the acquisition of this album owes itself largely to "incendiary" marketing practices. At least a month before the album's release, I placed an order with Metropolis Records, and along with all the stickers came a little book of matches with the imprinted title "Today We Are All Demons". And so, over the next few weeks I found myself wondering about whatever became of all the matches while having recurring 30 second pyromantic fantasies about burning down the world I knew whenever the prospects of life looked really bleak, and I eventually found myself compelled to conclude that there is more of the demonic in us than we would like to admit.
