*sighs* Just having moments where the devil is trying to make me doubt. Those "well...what about THIS RELIGION?!" moments. I know none of them have anything to support them. Hinduism and buddhism and junk...there's no history to them (like how you can actually find archeological and historical stuff that supports Biblical events and whatnot), there's loads of problems and flaws with their beliefs and just...they're pretty much just overglorified fairytales. There's nothing to them and therefore no reason to even be bothered, especially compared to all the stuff in favor of Christianity, but you know how the devil is.
Like I said, it's stupid, but please pray...

There's history to every religion. . .Also, there's nothing wrong with studying other religions. In fact, it's better to know about what other people believe than to write it all off as crap. They may be false, yes, but saying that they're just a bunch of stupid fairy tales is inviting others to look at Christianity the in the same way. I'm not saying that these other religions are true, because Christ is more real than anything, but what I am saying is that, as long as you aren't tempted to practice these other religions, it's okay to get a good understanding of them.
So yes, is your problem that you're tempted to practice other beliefs, or that you want to study them?

Sigh* Well, it's not like this prayer request is dumb, Momo-P. But it's dumb that when you post prayer requests that you rarely respond to what I've asked you. If you're really interested in getting over this problem, I'm going to have to insist that you speak to people, specifically myself, who have spoken to you about this and whom you seem to consistently ignore.
I'll ask you this. Have you ever gotten into apologetics? They're a great way to cement your belief in God and to remove doubt. I hope you actually answer this time, even if only to say 'No, I haven't'. Because while I'm perfectly willing to pray for your difficulties, it doesn't motivate me when your behavior displays a lack of an interest in overcoming it.
I'll ask you this. Have you ever gotten into apologetics? They're a great way to cement your belief in God and to remove doubt. I hope you actually answer this time, even if only to say 'No, I haven't'. Because while I'm perfectly willing to pray for your difficulties, it doesn't motivate me when your behavior displays a lack of an interest in overcoming it.

Trufax. I suggest reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Understanding your faith and being strongly grounded in it will help you to then be able to study other faiths without severely wavering. Again, it's better to know about what other people believe instead of assuming things about their faiths that may not be true.
A haven't really studied apologetics, but this semester I took Old Testament and Western Civ.; those classes gave me a very firm foundation, so if you have the opportunity, you should take an Old Testament (or New Testament) class or do some research about it. Apologetics will definitely help, but so will studying the Bible, its history, its purposes, and the culture of Israel and its surrounding nations.

Another thing. Reading about other religions and studying their arguments is not a danger to your belief. Belief in God is not made by intellectuality or mental dilemmas to traditional beliefs. If that were the case the greatest thinkers of all time would always be Christians, and they're not.
So don't be afraid to examine your faith in light of criticism. Don't expect much if you haven't studied the Bible much beyond children's Sunday school, but the thing I'm basically saying is do the research, do the work. Take the time to study theology and move into apologetics. I'm sure you'll feel better.
Oh, and I'd feel better if you would AT LEAST let us know you're listening to us.
