My cousin, her husband, and I have been struggling with moving to a new home. The apartment we live in now is falling down around our ears and it is too crowded besides. Things will become especially complicated once Jen and I become married, as she and I do not have the finances to support ourselves just yet, but living with her parents would be a sure deathknell for the marriage.
We found a house, a wonderful house, and on Saturday we received approval from the leasing agent. However, we've now found out that the Land Lord (the land lord is local, the leasing agent is part of a company, they work together to rent the house) is not fond of my cousin's credit record. Despite the fact that they have a renter's history that says that she and her husband have rented out this apartment for four years without ever missing rent once, and the fact that the two of them handily have the income to support renting the house, the land lord doesn't like it.
This house could do so much good for us, all of us. We thought God answered our prayers on saturday when the agent says yes, but we're all distraught by this sudden retraction.

We've actually been confirmed for the house! We get the keys Jan 1st, which gives us an entire month to move in.
