Well, I'm watching Planetes Volume 3. I forgot what episode I left off on. When Payday rolls around, I'm going to finish out the series...even though I already saw the ending on YouTube.

Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight episode 6 and 7. I've missed quite a few these last couple of days. They'll show re-runs though. :)

Library War episode 7
Toradora! episode 4

I have a feeling if I watched high school romance comedies more often, I'd already be sick of Toradora. Actually, I probably am anyway.

Gankutsuou (complete)
Mushishi (complete)
Ga-Rei Zero 1-2

Gankutsuou: THEY BUTCHERED THE NOVEL. I HATE THE ENDING. TOTALLY LACKS THE BRILLIANCE/FINESSE/PERFECTION. And yet I cried, even though this was my second viewing. EDOMONDO DANTEZU!!!

Mushishi: I wish I had actually paid attention to more then 1/4 of this series. It was probably very good, but it's hard series to watch while drawing on the computer.

Ga-Rei Zero: Rocks fall and everyone DIES. WHAT? Nice production values though.

Completed: Wolfs Rain
Pretty good anime. I find it wise to leave it at only one season.

And now I am on to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. There's a surprisingly intricate plot beyond those disturbing first impressions.

For some reason, Netflixsent me Wild Arms Vol 1 and 2 instead of Lucky Star Vol 3 and Macross Vol 3, so, Macross is on hold, and my 1 disc-a-week Lucky Star viewing is put on hold until I get through Wild Arms Vol 1 and 2, which is turning out to be pretty good so far (and they got the spaghetti western music right! Way to go!)
So, in short, I'm watching Wild Arms right now.

A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky

Finished Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. Higurashi is an excellent and unique series with really awesome storytelling that will be immortalized as one of my favourites. Now to get back to this week's anime that I put off: Nodame Cantabile Paris-hen 07, Tytania 07, ef melodies 08, Xam'd 16, and maybe Casshern Sins 07 and 08.

Kuroshitsuji.

Eh. I feel like a lot is happening, yet nothing is.

Also, normally I don't mind a little fujoshi fodder, but they're starting to overdo it a bit.

Air was decent, but not as good as its successors. I guess that's a sign of how much KyoAni has improved since then.

But now, Hidamari Sketch. ( X '____________' )

Air has a TV and movie, so Air TV refers to the 2005 TV series by Kyoto Animation.

Air is adapted from a visual novel of the same name by Key. Starting with Air, KyoAni has done other Key visual novel adaptations: Kanon in 2006, and Clannad in 2007, with Clannad's After Story portion currently airing. Because of this, they've been dubbed KeyAni. The timeline of anime that they've produced looks like this:

Air (Winter 2005), Haruhi (Spring 2006), Kanon (Fall 2006), Lucky Star (Spring 2007), Clannad (Fall 2007), Clannad After Story (Fall 2008)

If you enjoyed Air, then I highly recommend Kanon and Clannad (and Clannad After Story). Each of these is 26 episodes, compared with Air's 13. With twice as many episodes to work with, each arc gets more time and the characters are able to be more fully developed. And with each successive series, you can see KyoAni improving with each one.

As for what I'm watching, I've moved on to Hidamari Sketch x365, which is just more Hidamari Sketch. Excellent slice-of-life. I regret not having watched it as it aired, because it would have made this summer season less garbage.

Well allllll of my siblings are passionate about anime. Even the 8 year old. And with fewer and fewer good regular shows to watch on TV, especially in the cartoon department, we find ourselves watching anime more than anything.

So each day, depending on the day of the week, we all sit down and watch a specific show. We just finished Dennou Coil and caught up in Naruto, so now we're following this...

Sundays - Planetes
Mondays - Fruits Basket
Tuesdays - Was Eureka Seven, will prolly now be Angelic Layer, Shingu, or Searching for the Full Moon
Wednesdays - Samurai 7
Thursdays - Guardian of the Sacred Spirit
Friday - Naruto and Jungle wa Itsumo Halenochi Guu
Saturday - Hunter X Hunter

Can I just express how much I LOVE each of these? And most of them are family-friendly too, which is awesome. :thumb:

Though afterwards at night, my brother and I will watch a more mature show on our own. Nothing extreme or similar, but superb series that children just wouldn't get or are too young to handle.

So far, us two have watched Full Metal Alchemist, Ergo Proxy, Genshiken, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, and now we're on Death Note.

Considering we've only started watching non-Naruto anime starting this year, I think we're off to a good start... :jump:
