DJ Ecliptik new to CAA

Postby djecliptik » Sat Oct 25, 2008 11:23 am

Hi guys n gals, just wanted to introduce myself. I was looking up christian anime on google, and came across this forum. It's nice to know that there are people out there that have the same likes, as I, that we can call each other family!

Here is my Biography in it's shortest form:
For many of years he has been exposed to all sorts of music, including EDM(Electronic Dance Music) since the early 1990's. In 2001, after experimenting with all sorts of DJ toys and programs, Ecliptik bought himself his first set of turntables, granted they weren't Technics, He basically used the gift that has been in his heart to play music in a way that sounds like a continuous song. All that he had to begin with was a set of old Drum N Bass Vinyl Records that came with his setup. However, after listening to trance, psytrance, happy hardcore, jungle, breaks, and progressive house, Ecliptik quickly picked up on the Drum N Bass style of music. However, he was not content with playing secular music at house partys. He decided to come up with his own tracks using cheap software. He made a track that his friend deemed worthy enough to get play time at a local club. Not knowing what kind of response he was going to get, he pleaded them not to play it, and in turn, it got played and received an awesome response from the crowd. In late 2005, he sought out the Christian Dance Scene and ended up being signed on with DaGathering (http://www.myspace/dagatheringspace) . All the while strengthening his skills playing live sets and being a witness of the love of Jesus Christ, He continues to find new music and eventually, he will have tracks of his own making. Currently, I am now hosting a Drum N Bass weekly on http://www.castthefire.com called DGK Radio, along with my partner in crime, DJ Arjahn.

Be sure to check out a mix that introduced us to the masses out there:

http://www.tastyfresh.com is also a DJ community where I keep in touch with other DJ's like myself that get into the newest, and even classic Dance music.

... ok, I'm done with the long drawn out intro... lol

I see you're more fond of Drum and Bass than Trance, lol. No worries. I'm not too familiar with it besides Pendulum, but as for trance goes, I love:

ATB (My absolute favorite)
Armin Van Buuren
Tiesto
Ferry Corsten
Paul Van Dyk
Dj Satomi (Wow! Not many people know of him!)
Duderstadt
Ian Van Dahl
Robert Miles
Sasha
Paul Oakenfold

Of all of them, I must say that ATB, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and dj Satomi must be my top favorites.

well, in my bio, I explain that I grew up on/and wanted to start by playing trance. It turns out that through all the different genres I'm exposed to, God saw fit that I developed a taste for Drum N Bass, especially since it has gotten the reputation of being a dark/twisted and evil style of dance music... I want people to see that not all Drum N Bass is bad. And as I started with it, I really come a long way with this style... don't get me wrong, I love Trance just as much as the Hardcore typical Raver. (Yes, I'm still a raver at heart...for Christ ^.^ )

oh I also wanted to add more DnB Artists:

Ben Sage
DJ Marky & XLS

and trance/house:

Andy Hunter
DJ Shah
Ferry Corsten
Christopher Carl (who is Terminal by the way... his real name is Chris Salisbury, please keep him in your prayers)

And for those who don't know Darude.... Standstorm was like the track to bring back the ravers for a couple more years back in early 2000 or so in my area... now, It's all gone clubs. Anyways... There is a new generation now being exposed to it, and I want to do my best to glorify God in everything I do, so that the youth will come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.

If it seems like I'm pushing anything... I don't mean to... It's just that God reveals and introduces me to new people, eventually becoming friends. Alot of times, I lose inspiration to create new tracks. So, if you guys would, please keep me in your prayers, that I will not lose focus on the main goal, which is to do God's will.

Woo! A Fellow DJ. Only difference: You're a Club DJ. I'm a former Mobile DJ/Radio Announcer/Spinner.
Hiyakawa Sayaka (my character from my writing) wrote:God has given me a gift, that I really don't know what to do with. I guess, all I can do is put it in his hands, keep my hands inside the car, and expect to end up destroying parts of Tokyo with my perfectly good guitar.

Revelation 1:10-11: I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet, saying, "Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches to Ephesus and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum and to Theyatira, and at Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
