Well, let me put this out there: I've never really been into anime.

Like, I liked this site because the people were cool and I'm christian, but as for the anime part... eh, not so much.
Don't get me wrong, I had my Inuyasha phase, and I was super obsessed with Card Captors, but that's literally the extent of it.

Lately I've wanted to get more into anime, though, as one of my friends invited me to Animethon next year.
So, I'm wondering...

Could I get some pointers?

What anime is best, the basics of anime, what anime IS.... all of that junk.

But some good basic ones would be Ruroni Kenshin, Naruto, Bleach--anything popular I guess for just starting out.

All of those are good.
I think I'd be up for anything, for some reason I probably wouldn't dig religious themes as much, but whatev.
As for "ratings" and such, I don't have a beef at all with sexual themes.
