Rough week

Postby Sheenar » Thu Oct 02, 2008 4:41 pm

Hey guys,
It's been a rough week...I went to the ER on Monday night with abdominal pain. Had x-ray and CT scan. Was told I was constipated and sent home with medicine. Medicine didn't really help. Still have abdominal pain. Trying to hold out until my testing on the 16th.

Just found out this morning that two of my friends (married to each other) are getting a divorce/separation. It's pretty upsetting. I attended their wedding almost two years ago.

And Pebbles hurt her back right leg. I feel that it's my fault as I let her run around and play in the lake without a tether on Saturday at a church retreat. She has an appointment for Saturday morning, but I'm going to call the vet in the morning to see if it can be moved to tomorrow afternoon. I'm pretty worried. If she hurt her hip, it may lead to having to retire her from service. I pray that it's something that will go away with time and rest. And CPL would be well within their rights to take her away from me. It is because of my negligence (and not following the rules) that she was injured.

And two of my references for my Christmas missions application have not yet sent in their reference forms. The deadline is Monday. They sure are cutting it close...

I know God is faithful and that He has a plan. My trust is just really being tested right now. Please be in prayer for these things. Thank you.

*hugs sis hang in there hun

Heavenly Father,

I lift up my sister to you. I pray you will give her strength and peace of mind as she goes through these things. Help her to have peace about the things that are out of her control. May she have the courage to trust you when things seem like nothing is going to change. In jesus name I pray,

Amen

Update:
Called the vet this morning. Pebbles now has an appointment at 3:30 today. The vet told me to keep her off her leg, so I have to leave her at home today while I'm in class/work. :( Pebbles' cave at work will be empty today. :(:(
My aunt is picking me up after I get off work at 3, so we'll go pick Pebbles up at my dorm and then go to the vet. I pray, pray that she doesn't have to retire because of a stupid thing I did.

Praying for you sister in Christ:)
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

The vet said that it is most likely a sprain, so praise God! Pebbles just can't work for a few days (from Friday) and should hopefully be able to work again tomorrow (Monday).
Though I think this time out of harness is making her think she can act like a heathen Labrador! She did some "counter surfing" last night (my aunt had made barbeque) and she threw up at 4:30 this morning. After a CPL dog throws up, we are supposed to take the dog off food for 24 hours to give their system a rest (but they can have as much water as they want). Well, Pebbles keeps eating my aunt/uncle/cousin's dogs' food. She has eaten like, 4 bowls of food (they filled them up again after she had licked them clean and then she ate all the food again).
So please pray she doesn't make herself sick again.
