Ok, so this is about the third time I've attempted to write this out. The humidity today has kept causing my computer to restart randomly on me. :shake:

Anywho, I've been into anime for almost as long as I remember. Though admittedly my original introduction was less than savory in some cases (Akira and Ninja Scroll come to mind). Some of my all time favorites include the Macross series (currently watching Macross Frontier, brilliant so far), the majority of Studio Ghibli films, Fullmetal Alchemist, and more recently Eureka Seven (has absolutely struck a chord with me so far, loving it).

I am also a devout christian, though I don't know if that much needs to be mentioned, lol. I certainly wouldn't be posting here if I was a devout atheist, that much in certain.

Other than that, I really enjoy reading and gaming. I also spend quite a bit of time writing/recording/and producing songs, as a hobby of mine. Would absolutely love for it to become my job in future though.

I look forward to spending some time here getting to know you all. :thumb:

Hello again! Welcome to CAA. :)

I'm not a song writer, but I have semi-recently been involved in recording some songs for a church CD project. What instrument do you play?

I mainly sing :), though I would consider myself to be... I guess 'reasonable' with the piano/keyboard. I have had a few friends keep telling me I should go on Australia Idol, but I'm not quite as confident in my abilities as they are .

The current setup I have involves having my keyboard hooked up to my computer via midi-in, so that I can directly record my keystrokes, and velocity of said keystrokes, in to the producing program and then subsequently change the sound using sound fonts. And from there I can simulate virtually any instrument.

It may sound complicated, though its really just a load of fun once you get used to it. And its great being able to write and then record a song when I get the inspiration to.

I do know what you mean - I actually have a keyboard + MIDI cable myself, though it hasn't had much recent use (due to lack of time/space/inspiration)..
We did "analogue recordings" for the CD project... it has so many more factors you have to get right! It was fun though. I play bass guitar.

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."

-John Piper

"The very One from Whom we need to be saved, is the One Who has saved us."
- R.C. Sproul

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."
- Martin Luther

"I have to tell you first that I am ready to die. I have put my affairs in order. Your supreme weapon is killing. My supreme weapon is dying, because when you kill me, people all over Romania will read my books and believe on the God that I preach - even more than they do now."
- Dr. Joseph Ton, the exiled Romanian pastor (quoted by James Montgomery Boice)

"The best prayer I ever prayed had enough sin in it to condemn the whole world."
- John Bunyan

::blinks:: Don't worry about him. He's just mental. You'll find a lot of the members of CAA are the same way. In fact, every year we have a straightjacket bonfire in the Goof-Off section. It's quite nice, actually. We roast marshmellows and our random medications...

Every human’s heart is tainted with evil, mine is no different, I try to suppress it but many times it is overwhelming. My heart tears like paper. I am weak for I am human. I needed a reason to live. Suicide wavered on my mind but in the end as I gave my life to Christ my torn heart was sewn back together.
