Friend needs to know the real jesus

A friend I thought was a Christian... She's been hurt by the church and she said she "can't hear the gospel"

I just pray God will open her ears up, preferably before she goes back to Japan (another issue: she didn't get accepted for her visa renewal) that she'll be able to know Jesus in a way that no amount of pain caused by people could undo.

She acts like nothing bothers her, but she's very very cynical and I can tell she's hurting a lot from family issues and the issues from the church and the conflict she feels in herself (saying things like "I believe the bible is true and in God, but just not believe what the church believes") and the visa thing... Her frustrations come through every single time I talked to her... She says she's happier now that she's not in the Church, but I can tell pretty easily she's lying to herself.
