Latest current season favorite is "Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu" (I'm betting when this gets to English it'll be called 'Haruka's Secret"). It's obvious wish-fulfillment (the prettiest girl in school is secretly an otaku? Yeah, right...) but it is incredibly cute.
Also much enjoying the latest incarnation in the Tetsuwan Birdie franchise. They have once again gone back to the beginning of the story and rewrote (the OVA followed the first volume of the original manga, then the mangaka rewrote a new manga, and now this is yet another revision, although it at least vaguely resembles the new manga series.) The only part of this franchise that ever made it into English was the OVA, but the new series is very well done. I'm betting it will be brought to the US.

I finally finished the Rurouni Kenshin series (I preferred the manga, but whatever), and now I'm on to Full Metal Panic!, but I'll probably marathon Samurai X on the weekend.

I'm currently watching (for the first time) an anime series that can't be named on this forum but that paved the way for more serious, psychological and philosophical anime fare.
It's quite good so far. I wouldn't watch it if I had depression though (lol).
