My grandma had a stroke...

Postby animechica » Tue Aug 05, 2008 8:44 pm

She apparently was just lying down and my grandpa found her unresponsive... my mom said at the hospital she didn't talk or move, all she could do was squeeze her hand.

Please pray for my grandma... she's a really cool woman. Both her and my grandpa are really strong in their faith, and they've said before that they're ready to leave the world and be with Jesus. And I'm not necessarily asking for her to get better because honestly, I am very pessimistic and I realize that everyone has to go sometime.

I just wish you guys would pray that she won't suffer, that God will watch closely over her (if that means he takes her or heals her) and especially that He would comfort our family and especially my grandpa.

I've never had a human death in my close family so I'm scared...
I don't know what the details are yet but I usually think the worst, especially in a case like this...

Dear Jesus,

I agree in prayer with Sapphi for her grandmother and her family. I pray for healing, comfort and support for everyone involved. In your name we pray,
Amen.

Sapphi,

Feel free to pm &/or chat with me on yim if you need someone to talk with.

Best Wishes,
Dove

Thanks for your prayers... she went to be with Jesus last night.

I had promised to get her flowers the next time I saw her, and I walked in with wildflowers I'd picked on the spur of the moment and my relatives were like "She just passed."

There was so much good timing involved with it all though, at least for me... I was really thankful for the way it happened, and that she's out of her old burdened body and probably singing for joy right about now. It's not going to be the same without her though... in church last Sunday we were praying for her and my pastor said "Our sunshine isn't with us today."

She was just that kind of lady, always smiling, always joyful. We're all gonna miss her a lot... especially my grandpa.. if you guys could pray for him, I think he needs comfort most of all.
