Anyone going to warped tour?

Postby Kuro-Mizu » Fri Jul 11, 2008 10:10 pm

So is anyone going (or maybe already went to) warped tour? I am going on aug 3rd and I am REALLY excited this year.

here is the band list-
http://www.warpedtour.com/warpedtour/bands.asp

the bands I really want to see are

family force 5
relient k
anberlin
angels and airwaves
cobra starship
gym class heroes

and even katy perry but yeah we'll just ignore that fact considering the questionable content of her new song.

I probably won't get to see them all but it would be awesome if I did!

so who do you guys want to see?

also for those who already went who did you see and how good were they?

I've already been, son. I went Wednesday.

I saw Anberlin (great), Every Time I Die (EVERY FREAKING TIME I DIE. KEITH BUCKLEY IS MY HERO, NOT BECAUSE HE IS A RESPECTABLE HUMAN BEING BUT FOR HIS FLANNEL AND COWBOY BOOTS AND ALCOHOLISM), Say Anything (amazing. Max Bemis is so great), THE ORESKA BAND (LOL BLEACH THEME SONG NUMBER 11), The Audition, Relient K, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Matisyahu, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Matisyahu. It was amazing. GO.

YAH I am EXTREMELY excited.

how were relient k. I have never seen them live or heard anything about their live show? do they have as much energy as their songs would imply?

EDIT you should have gone to see family force 5 their live show is just FANTASTIC. Unless of course they weren't there hehe but srsly they have the best live show I have ever been to which is pretty impressive.

Relient K was excellent. It was like my eighth or ninth time seeing them so I kind of know what to expect but they get better at performing every time.

FF5 is not my cup of tea but they do put on a good show. However, someone was playing against them and I can't remember who.

Yeah ff5 is sort of a niche band. I take it you have seen them live previously?

Nah, niche would imply that they don't have widespread appeal, which they do; I just don't like them. Good guys, though. I've seen them a couple of times because they were places where I wanted to be.

well they have that sorta bringin back the 80's sound that not everyone can appreciate. PLus their just so random which is another thing alot of people can't appreciate.

Back on track with warped tour though!

I am sad cuz Paramore and Jack's mannequin aren't playing the show I am going to. I saw paramore last year and they were pretty awesome. I am more sad about not being able to see jack's mannequin. I guess I will have to catch them on another tour.

I'm going. I'll be at the one on the 30th of this month. As soon as I heard Norma Jean was going to be there, I was sold.
