Hello everyone! I figured this might be a cool place to meet some people with similar beliefs and interests, so I decided to "drop" in. Let's see, I guess I'm supposed to say a little about myself, so here it goes. I'm a college student studying East Asian Studies, and I attend a nondenominational church. Some of my favorite animes are Rahxephon, Air TV, Haibane Renmei, Samurai X, Fullmetal Alchemist, Trigun, etc... It's nice to meet you all!

Welcome! I'm sure you'll have a good time here.

I'm a little curious. What does nondenominational mean? Does that just mean it doesn't affiliate itself with any denomination?

Yep, that's what it means. All the nondenominational churches I've been to usually have similar doctrines, but nondenominational churches have their doctrines determined by the congregation, not by say an established branch. We are a mix of branches like Baptist, Calvinist, etc. Most members consider themselves charismatic christians( hope that makes sense).

- Abraham Kuyper

"God the great Creator of all things doth uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all creatures, actions, and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence, according to His infallible foreknowledge and the free and immutable counsel of His own will, to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, goodness, and mercy."

"All of Christian life is ceaseless worship of God the Father, through the mediatorship of God the Son, by the indwelling power of God the Spirit, doing what God commands in Scripture, not doing what God forbids in Scripture, in culturally contextualized ways, for the furtherance of the Gospel, when both gathered for adoration, and scattered for action, in joyous response to God's glorious grace."
- Mark Driscoll

"Believers do not pray with the view of informing God about things unknown to Him, or of exciting Him to do His duty, or of urging Him as though He were reluctant. On the contrary, they pray in order that they may arouse themselves to seek Him, that they may exercise their faith in meditating on His promises, that they may relieve themselves from their anxieties by pouring them into His bosom; in a word, that they may declare that from Him alone they hope and expect, both for themselves and for others, all good things."

I got my name from my trusty old friend the "Roget's 21st Century Thesaurus". I ran across the word a few years ago when I was looking up stuff for a paper and instantly took a liking to it. That MMO sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out.

Hello, and welcome. I'm a newbie too but have found this site quite enjoyable. I haven't the pleasure to view any of the anime you are a fan of except Haibane Renmei, which I enjoyed reading. Right now my anime interests are centered around Chrono Chronicles and the story of Sister Rosette.

I also attend a non-denominational church in my home town and with us being Charasmatic is just the beginning. I like to describe it as if you were a first time visitor, to put on a seat belt because you are in for the ride of your life. It's that much fun.

Enjoy the site and if I can be of help, let me know.
