Please Pray

Postby AJV » Sun Jun 15, 2008 1:45 pm

Hi Guys,
I've been thinking about writing a topic about this for a while but hadn't had the guts to do it.:sweat:

I need prayer for a lot of things:

Fear,stress,anger,hate,depression,doubt,selfishness,worry,guilt,obsession,compromise,and other things too.

I've been under stress for a while with my Family( especially my Grand Father and Uncle who are unsaved) and Finances (my Dad lost his job when the housing market went down).

I tend to get hateful and angry with people like my Grand Father and Uncle who can do whatever they want and get away with it.:bang:
They treat us (My Mom and I) like we're scum when we're the ones who've giving almost everything we've got to them out of the of the goodness of our hearts,but the people who treat them like garbage (or are criminals and scummy) are treated like royalty.
Then I get mad at God because I wonder why he doesn't do something about these people and I wish I could.
I get depressed because life can seem so down with all the stress and stuff.
I can give too much time to things I like and not enough time to God.

It can be hard for me to forgive myself even when I've asked God to forgive me and I've worked myself up to where I've thrown up and almost fainted( I fainted once when I was sick with 103 fever and fell into the bathtub,thankfully I didn't break anything).

So please pray for God to help us and stuff.:?:

:)On another note I have a praise report:
A few weeks ago, a cat that my Mom feeds (that's outside) had babies.
They were in a good spot and not bothering anybody when the people in charge of the complex drove them out to the car garage.
My Mom feed the mother by there for a few days or so until the president saw her there.
So after we saw them try to lock the mother and the kittens in a storage closet that was full gas and other toxic stuff, we started to prepare to get them out of the underground car garage.
On memorial day, with the help of a professional animal catcher from the apartment next store to the other apartment's underground car garage,we caught the Mother,Father,and the six kittens.
Then head on Purrfect Match took them and checked them out and whatnot and is putting the kittens at Pet co where they'll be adopted and letting the Mother and Father back out.

Wow!That was a long post.:wow!:

God Bless! :angel:

I'll be praying as well ^^

Just be patient ^^ Soon they will see how they're hurting you guys and will come around. Try putting your foot down (you and your mom). Perhaps they don't really realize what they are doing to you guys? Let them know what they are doing to you. Perhaps then, something can be done :)

In the meantime, just trust in God because you know he's got your back ^__^

There are a large amount of verses in Proverbs and a good portion in Psalms that talk about those who do wicked things seeming to get away with it......only to pay for it later on in life.......

U have my prayers......

Will be praying...Just keep showing Jesus' love for your uncle and grandfather. Try not to get angry with them and especially pray for them. Know that the Lord does things in His timing, not yours. So you have to be patient. Pray for patience if you need help. Also, know that God is always with you and there to help with your burdens. He wants you to depend on Him. That just shows how loving and caring He is.

I will be praying for you and your family. :)

I'll be praying for you.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

1. I'm glad you were able to rescue your kitties. :grin:

2. Danderson is right. Here's Psalm 73 from the NIV.

1 Surely God is good to Israel,
to those who are pure in heart.
2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
I had nearly lost my foothold.

3 For I envied the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 They have no struggles;
their bodies are healthy and strong. [a]

5 They are free from the burdens common to man;
they are not plagued by human ills.

6 Therefore pride is their necklace;
they clothe themselves with violence.

7 From their callous hearts comes iniquity [b] ;
the evil conceits of their minds know no limits.

8 They scoff, and speak with malice;
in their arrogance they threaten oppression.

9 Their mouths lay claim to heaven,
and their tongues take possession of the earth.

10 Therefore their people turn to them
and drink up waters in abundance. [c]

11 They say, "How can God know?
Does the Most High have knowledge?"

12 This is what the wicked are like—
always carefree, they increase in wealth.

13 Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure;
in vain have I washed my hands in innocence.

14 All day long I have been plagued;
I have been punished every morning.

15 If I had said, "I will speak thus,"
I would have betrayed your children.

16 When I tried to understand all this,
it was oppressive to me

17 till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.

18 Surely you place them on slippery ground;
you cast them down to ruin.

19 How suddenly are they destroyed,
completely swept away by terrors!

20 As a dream when one awakes,
so when you arise, O Lord,
you will despise them as fantasies.

21 When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,

22 I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.

23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.

24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

27 Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.

28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.

I realize the villains in this Psalm are probably not direct counterparts of your relatives. But the general situation seems to be the same. Read this verse frequently, and I think you'll feel better.

As to not spending enough time with God, I think you need to be a bit clearer in what you mean. Obviously everything I do during the day compiled is longer than my devotions in the morning, but I only felt like I hadn't spent enough time with God if I hadn't at least prayed for the day. I always felt better when I kept my commitment.

Or, maybe it's just a lack of interest in your Bible reading? If that's the case, I think I can help with that, but PM would be a better place to discuss this further. So if you want to talk about it more, send me a PM.

You're in my prayers, okay? God bless. :angel:

Patience.
I guess I could always use more of that.:sweat:
We've tried, but they're so set in their ways.
I think it's better for us just to stay away from them since they can't stress us out too much if we aren't around them,though that can be hard when they live close by,my older Cousin of the other hand is father away (and works at church a lot) so it's a bit easier for him to avoid them.

Yeah, I guess it's like my Mom tells to "Love the sinner,Hate the sin".
I know I shouldn't, it just can be hard sometimes. :(
I do.
Yep, even when it doesn't feel like it sometimes,God's always there.

Well...pretty close.:lol:

I mean...it's just that...ok let me start over.
I wake up and say a few morning prayers from my prayer book, though I tend to rush it for some reason. I was doing pretty good for a little while (I think) since I was praying Morning,Healing, and a few other prayers.
Me and my Mom have been praying the Rosary and the Chaplet on Divine Mercy at 3:00 P.M. (the hour when Christ died) but it's been hard for me to concentrate while praying since I usually have a lot of thoughts on my mind (Ideas and other things).
I also tend to over do it when it comes to things like secular things that I like. At times I've had to give up (or fast) from them.
So that's kind of why I think I haven't spent as much time with God as I should,but He's helping me. :)
As for the Bible: I don't read it that much sadly. :(
Though I have used E Bible a few times.
I probably read it more. :sweat:

Anyway,
God Bless Everyone! :angel:

It sounds like they could using Bible reading PERIOD. :eyeroll: The thing about the Psalm was to prevent jealousy. They may be able to get away with it now, but some time or another, they're bound to get caught sooner or later, you know what I'm saying?

Hey AJV,

I know that you are going through a hard time. It seems that Satan is working overtime on people lately. He senses his end I suppose so he is working fervershily.

Anyways, I have learned something about forgiveness and patience. If you have neither or if you do not display it then your faith in the Lord really means little. Now i'm not saying that you don't show this but I'm saying that if you practice this more and more with your uncle and grandfather (I know you can do it with the Lord's help ^_^) Maybe it will help them to see the Lord that lives within you. Or maybe they won't but at least you are showing the love Christ has for you. *smile Typing it is always easier than doing it but just my own thoughts.

Stay strong in the race ^_^

God bless

Hm. I think you're using secular wrong, but meh... Anyway, yeah, just about everything seemed more interesting than Bible study several years ago. One thing I very strongly suggest is getting into Christian apologetics. That made my Christianity VERY interesting. Defending the faith, getting a strong alert knowledge of what I believe, being able to use this spiritual skill of warfare to encourage and aid my fellow Christians are all part of it. And it's exciting, let me tell you. It can be incredible.
