Yes, very much. Between the rhythms, the devastatingly funky basslines, the impressive atmospherics, and the deep and witty spiritual lyrics, I've enjoyed it immensely.

I just added the following to the station:

Bella Morte - The Quiet

Also, I changed out Ghost in the Machine by The Police for a remastered version with better mixing. The version I had on there made the synths and saxaphones sound way too weak on all but the best speakers.

I neglected to mention I found the Bella Morte music to especially appealing. I really enjoyed that addition.

Bella Morte's music has always been very powerful for me, and their album The Quiet is my favorite so far. You should pick it up when you get the chance.

Demon Hunter? Not so Industrial or Gothic, but very much Christian, loud, and a lil' angry.

You might also check out ASP and their album, Requiembryo. (sp?)

Have I thought about playing Demon Hunter? Not particularly. I usually focus on music that traces its roots to the Glam, Punk, Post-Punk, New Wave, and Progressive movements, with special emphasis on Post-Punk and New Wave bands attempting to revive the dark romantic movement (i.e. Gothic and Darkwave musicians). Musicians without any of these influences don't tend to fit in well with the flow of the station, which makes listening to their music in the course of my internet radio station deeply akin to flowing down a river before colliding face-first with a block of solid cement.

I notice a lot of Gothic stations these days are becoming consumed by either dark Metal of all kinds or dance-floor tailored Electronic music, but I have no such intention for Batcave Redemption Radio. I am committed to staying true to the musical roots of the subculture while demonstrating that they are terrifyingly relevant to the current generation, and I have had some 23,322 listeners this year to show for it. Metal music may be seamlessly fused with the whole range of music broadcast on the station, but only when played by musicians strongly influenced by the musical movements I mentioned earlier. On that note, I do play a track by the Darkwave Metal band ASP from the compilation album DJ Ferret's Underground Mix #1, but it hasn't stuck out as a band I just need an album from.

Just wanted to drop a line and say that I started listening last night, and the first thing I did this morning was get up and link in again. Thanks for putting the site together -- I've been enjoying it immensely.

Well, I don't own any DC Talk albums, so chances are that if you heard Toby Mac, it was because he collaborated with one of the bands I play. One of the many lessons I've learned from broadcasting so long is that Christian musicians really get around when you're not looking.

Well, the computer I broadcast on is pretty old, and a portion of the story of how I started broadcasting goes something like: 'Well, this old piece of junk is just sitting there broken and unused, but there's simply no reason at all why I can't get it up and working and broadcast my internet radio station from this machine.' So that's basically what I did. But this past week, the computer warned of an the hard drive was at one percent health and warned of an impending hard drive failure. All I could do, therefore, was formulate a plan to back up the playlist and music before taking the machine back into the shop. Well, thanks to God's grace and dad's generousity, that computer has a brand new hardrive with all the music and playlists added, so Batcave Redemption Radio is back online!
