Insomnia (and all of it's rammifications)

I've been having problems getting to sleep. I thought I could put this to good use by attempting to get a graveyard shift, such as the one I"m going to attempt to secure today. Of course, to apply for the job, I have to go during normal business hours, even though my job will be later. I thought I'd try to sleep at 8 and force myself to sleep. I went to bed about 9:30 and got to sleep in a bit, waking up every few minutes until I finally woke up at 1:45 and couldn't go back to sleep... Now I am very tired and don't know if I'm going to be able to do any good at the Japanese class. I need to go to APU to apply for this Job, but I don't know if I'll make it... Gah... It's so frustrating... I may just go to sleep again. If I go to sleep now and wake up at 10, I would have slept about 9 hours so that should cover me even if it wasn't consistant...

This Janitorial thing has been getting me excited, though... It's a full time Job, which I really need bad. Hopefully, I can eventually get more than minimum (though california minimum isn't exactly poor... Any single person could survive on full time at minimum in Cali. It's just getting the job that is the problem)

Um... Yeah. My tangeants are going to even be worse now because of my totally irregular sleep schedule...

I used to have a friend who suffered from Insomnia in HS, he would get up and ride his bike around town at 1am trying to get him self tierd, then go home and try to sleep. I dont think it worked out well, but it sure kept him in shape. ^^
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Perhaps the answer isnt to over come it, but rather to make room for it in your life style. Working 3rd shift ect. When you have insomnia you still get tierd. Im sure if Bob could sleep right now instead of go to class, he would.

You, too, huh?

I have a lot of trouble getting to sleep. Usually takes me at least an hour. Last night, I was up all night. I got about 2 hours of sleep.. I think I slept between 2 and 4 am. Couldn't get back to sleep. I even took an Excedrin PM... that's how I got the 2 hours I got.. I think.

My nerves went nutty... kept feeling like I had to pee... was up every 5 minutes. Argh. That's what I'm like when I'm trying to get to sleep, usually, but this lasted all night.

Of course, maybe I was just a little sick. I had a bought of diherrhea earlier last night. I think I ate something funky from the fridge. My fridge has been going out and I didn't really notice it until I had a gallon of fresh milk curdle on me. I didn't have diherrhea durning the night or anything, but I was achey and did have chills.

Now, I'm exhausted, but I'm not sure I could sleep if I tried.

I can't say that I've ever had sleeping problems (I had some when I was younger, but since I didn't really have anything to do, it wasn't a big deal). When I came to college, for some reason everyone decided that it would be a good idea to stay up until 2:00 AM every night. I, on the other hand, go to bed by 11:00 every night without fail (10:00 on days when I had a 9:00 AM class).

The best advice I can give is to get exercise; at least an hour of vigorous exercise every other weekday. When I had trouble sleeping, it was due to a lack of exercise. I had to sleep, but I had nothing to make me tired. If that is too much, then try 30 minutes, just get some exercise. Also, make sure to get it at least three hours before you plan to sleep. If you exercise any closer than that, you might have trouble sleeping. It may also help if you don't eat 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. That will make it easier to get to sleep, and give you better sleep in general.

I fully agree with Cbwing here. It worked for me. ^^ Yet, there are still some nights that get me, like last night. Especially when I have something on my mind.
