Oh, it's there allright. He's a great V/A, but it kinda adds a snooty air to the character. Misakichi's V/A is cool, and the voice is age appropriate, but to each his own.

I'm watching Tenchi in Tokyo Episode 1. Not my all time favorite Tenchi series, but still good watchings.

I think I know what you mean about Kotaro, but it doesn't bug me that much. I guess I also forget how old/young some of the characters are supposed to be. I mean 12 years old is...almost foetal . :P

Watched Angelic Layer episode 22 and Avatar episode 2.

Genshiken Episode 5 "The Boundary Between Rejection and Acceptance Seen in Autonomous Behavior".

I swear, if there's one character in all of anime I closely relate to (Especially in my earlier otaku days) is Keiji Sasahara!

Dug up what is probably the oldest piece of Anime I own (at least, the oldest copy. Some of my Miyazakis are older, but the copies are DVDs.)

That's right! I dusted off the ol' VHS and watched Episode 1 of "ANGEL COP!"

It was fun looking at all the 'also available' titles after the ep was older. A roll call of things I haven't seen in ages... "Hey! Ninja Scroll? I remember that!...."

[quote="yukoxholic (post: 1232430)"]I never go by fansubs because they always "take liberty" with just about all the dialogue. ]

They're trying to replicate the degree of lack-of-politeness in the Japanese dialog. Probably not the wisest way to do it, but if someone is using Yakuza dialect, or speaking with unwarranted familiarity, or such, it's difficult to get that across using subtitles.

Angelic Layer episode 24...almost finished.

Luckily, I've found out that NGE is starting on Animax soon, so I won't be anime deprived.

Just finished Wolf's Rain... I liked it but the ending was a bit of a disappointment. Started watching Escaflowne and halfway through RahXephon.

I'm starting to rewatch Death Note. When I get home from work, I'll pop in Volume 2. It's interesting to see how anime Light differs from live action movie Light.

That and I love the directors commentary tracks!

I'm watching "Code Geass" and "Aria the Animation." XDDD which is a really odd combination, since those two are completely different - but that's intentional. Much as I love Code Geass, I think I'd get depressed if I didn't break it up with some more light-hearted stuff... Aria's really sweet, though, I'm quickly falling in love with that series. ^^

If I find time, I'm gonna try and finish Lucky Star and Eureka 7, too...

Haibane Renmei Episode 11. I guess next episode will have the festival with those colored nut things. I was expecting it to be in this episode, but I guess not.

Finished Angelic Layer today. Overall I enjoyed it, but I won't count it among my favourites. I'm kind of thankful they didn't have a world tournament and only a national one. ;) The ending was suitably sweet and fluffy and I half expected Misaki's mother to get up right there at the end of the game.

Finished Haibane Renmei! Wow, I don't think I've ever seen the final episode in English. That was really good voice acting, especially on Reki's part! I was really feeling it, even though I've seen the series twice before.
