I just graduated with a Ministry bachelors and have been wondering about "real" jobs (as opposed to selling books at a Bookstore). A position has come up for Youth Minister at a local UMC. It's a full time positio, and I'm definitely applying. I think God is nudging me in this direction (in the kinds of nudges He gives that lead to bruised ribs ), so I would really appreciate some prayers! :thumb:

Well, talked to the Senior Pastor today, and it's a no go. She wanted someone with more experience. I want to serve, and I want to do something with my degree... I've been thinking it over and I think I'm gonna join the Youth Group at my own church. Actually gain some of that fabled experienced.

Oh well... That's too bad. Sorry. Well, I'll pray that you get the experience you need to get the position in the future. ;)

Don't be discouraged, Etoh. God does indeed have a plan for you and maybe He is leading you to another place to serve. I know He will use you in great ways wherever He leads you.
Be patient and I pray that God opens doors for you.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

I suspect if it was anything it was an object lesson... That I need more experience. Like I said, I'm taking it to heart and I'm gonna try and set out and get me somma that! :thumb:
