Random fact:
When President Ronald Reagan left office in 1989, he bought a new ranch in California. The address was 666 St. Cloud Road. He refused to move into his new home however, until the address was changed. The address was officially changed to 668 St. Cloud Road, and the Reagans moved in.

Another Random Fact:
In the year 1666, most the town of London went down in flames I'm pretty sure commonly called The Fire of London (maybe 'Great' is somewhere in the title also). *shrugs*

666 is the devil's number, is it not? That's mentioned somewhere in the Bible...just like 777 is God's number. The number 7 is used ALOT in the Bible.

Destroyer2000, its not bad if its in a book or how many post a person has, but if someone has 666 in there name like: DeathGiver666 for ex. But if its used as a date or something like that then its not meaning "servent of the devil". So if theres 666 posts or theads then dont sweat it.

I once met a person online who had 666 in his IM address. I started hanging out with him because he was a programmer but unfortunately he turned out to be a depressed, paranoid, porn-loving weirdo. One of several reasons I changed my AIM adress lol

Anyway I noticed the number of posts in that thread and chuckled at it a few days ago.

I have a joke me and my mom came up with that I was going to wait and share when I made my 666th post, but this will be a more appropriate thread.

See, something I thought of on my own and was sharing with my mom was the fact that a digital clock can say "1:11", "2:22", "3:33", "4:44", "5:55", but not "6:66". Weird huh? Well then my mom was saying how its a good thing because some people wouldn't want to buy digital clocks then and it would be like "AHH! IT'S THE WITCHING MINUTE! AHH!"

You know, everyone, this is slightly ridiculous. If you're just superstitious I can understand that.

But there is only one Biblical usage of the number 666, which is of course in Revelation. Specifically, the Greek characters of "Emperor Neron" will add up to this. It was used in its context to refer to a specific leader without stating him specifically, no need to become unhinged about that.

Likewise, while 7 is often used, so are the numbers 12, 40, etc... I think that God loves each and every number just as much! Awww...

Lol, I can't believe I missed out on the chance to point out something funny like that. Man, some people get all the fun...

Oooh, I once saw this biker with a big beard and a hippy wife with 666 on his 'hogs' licence plate. That was pretty knarly, lol.

I don't think 777 is mentioned at ALL in the Bible... Only 666 and 7. The reason why is because 6 is man's number, 3 is "Father, Son, Holy Spirit" and there were also 3 people working together against God in a position of world leadership. They were, as my old study bible put it, "An unholy trinity" and they represented man coming close to perfection, since after all, 6 is awfully close to 7. So, it was imperfection to the point of completion.

This is just what i think about this: 6 is man's # b/c man was created on the 6th day. 666 is the devil's # b/c 6 is man's and just add 2 more 6s then it just seems demonic. 7 is God's b/c God created the earth in 7 days. If you have a problem with what i just said then i am sorry.

Yes. They'll all be doing that, sooner or later.

What is interesting is that these forums haven't even reached their first birthday yet. But imagine ten years from now... our total posts... my post count... number of members, etc. What if our older members stayed with this site for 40+ years?
