My CDs arrived in the mail just now. From the little of Anorexia I've listened to, it's very promising. I'm really enjoying it so far. Anyone else get them yet?

Real impressions later this evening.

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

Sorry for the delay.

I love both of these albums. As much as I would have liked to get one earlier, having heard both of them convinced me that they are better together.

That said, I do expect that some will be disappointed. While there are some good classic Showbread tracks, a good portion (most notably of Anorexia) is very much focused on creating a certain mood, which usually entails a slower tempo and no lyrics.

As a fan of concept albums, I love them.

There is one notable flaw in the recording of the final track on Nervosa. One of the vocalist's microphone seems to emit a very irritating high pitched noise. I don't think everyone will hear it, as it seems similar to those ring tones that only teenagers can hear.

I agree with the part about some being disappointed but I think people who have an appreciation for well-made art will dig it. I dig it. I'm impressed. It is and is not what I was expecting. I especially adore the quotes from various literary sources that preface certain chapters of the story.
The climax of Anorexia that occurs on The Death made me literally freak out. I was just stunned. Wow. Let's talk about the story aspect more! There is so much going on here.
I've listened to each disc once through while reading the story. I'll have more to say now that I'm listening to just the music part. For anyone who buys it, though, DON'T just listen to the music. In order to understand it and be fully affected by its impact, you MUST read the story simultaneously.

I only have Nervosa.
Me and Josh went to FYE and they only had one of each left so he bought one and I bought the other.
I guess we're gonna swap em occasionally or something.

I went to Best Buy and got them for $10 each, even though they said $13 on both cases.

I am loving the sound. I have always loved the overall mood on all of the Showbread CD's, and this one just oozes mood all over the place. Seriously, it gets kinda messy.

Since this thread has been bumped, I'm just gonna say that these albums are epic. I bought them a month ago and actually, Anorexia annoyed me at first (the screaming, which I now love, XD) but I still cried by the time I got to the end.

So...I'm really sad that I haven't been able to get a hold of them yet. Though these CD's are pretty much my top priority right now.

Yeah I plan on getting them sometime near the end of this month or something like that. And thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I've just been busy and had limited connectivity to the internets...
