Free Comic Book Day - 3rd May Saturday

Postby Sammy Boy » Fri May 02, 2008 1:31 am

Mods please move / correct / delete if appropriate. Thank you.

This is just in case some of you are into comics but don't know about this. For some time now the first Saturday of May every year is Free Comic Book day.

(I believe this applies to comic stores in USA and Australia, not sure about other countries)

This means if you go to a participating comic store or book shop on the day you can get a selection of comics for FREE. (I think it's one comic per person)

So if you wanna grab a free comic, check out your local comic store tomorrow.

I did actually see this advertised on a sign outside the comic store in the city yesterday... I was wondering what the conditions were too. Unfortunately, my chances of getting there tomorrow are slim... :(

For once I'm actually within miles of a comic shop on Free Comic Book Day! I'm excited.

just comic book stores? not B&N or Borders or anything? >_O cuz that'd be ever so nice of them.

I think some bookstores may participate in this as well. In Sydney, there is a Japanese bookstore named Kinokuniya that participated in this today. They limited each person to two comic books, but it's still not bad.

So, was there a Teen Titans Go! comic available today? Just wondering.

I can't speak for stores outside of Australia. In the Sydney stores, I didn't see any free Teen Titans related comic books. The closest one was "Legion of Super Heroes".
