Evil encounter at church

Postby K. Ayato » Sun Apr 20, 2008 11:44 pm

Hello. Please pray for two ladies I encountered at the end of the service this evening. I'll give a recap as brief as possible. The speaker was just about to close in prayer and have communion set up afterwards. About 2 (or 3) rows behind me, I heard a woman whoop enthusiastically, which I shrugged off. Then, halfway during the prayer, she started laughing hysterically. Something in my gut told me this was more than just a lady acting out with some strange behavior. This proved true as during the communion service she started wailing, sobbing, and (here's the scary part) her voice would drop to this ominous low pitch, almost growling. I was sitting with two of my girlfriends and we quickly assessed the situation and grasped hands, praying fervently for the attack to be over. Other adults also approached the lady and began praying over her, to which she (according to a friend of mine) began screaming "They're touching me! Stop!".

I'm not sure what happened next. I just know my friends clustered around a young lady, who I learned was a new Believer. My chest tightened as I saw her, dazed, shaking, crying, and whimpering like a lost puppy. I have never seen anyone so frightened.

So now I ask for your prayers on behalf of these two ladies. I don't know either one of them, but please pray. If there's anything I find out as the week progresses, I'll be sure to update. Thanks again.

It sounds like there's demonic activity afoot. I've heard stories about this sort of thing happening a few times in our church's prayer group with new or visiting people. Make sure that a priest/pastor who is trained for this sort of thing gets involved; this is a delicate sort of situation that must be handled a certain way. Dangerous things could happen if any random lay person just decides to try and "cast out" anything that could be affecting this woman.

I'll be praying (and for those who are praying, please pray for Jesus's Precious Blood to cover and protect you), and here's an interesting word of advice from a good priest friend of mine: "One good confession is better than an exorcism." Once someone is penitent and wants to be forgiven of their sins, the devil loses power over them and God steps in.

Part of me wonders what I'd do if ever in that sort of situation....I know my gut instinct would be to run away, yet u and the ppl in ur church stayed and prayed for her....
These ppl and ur congregation have my prayers....
