[font="Palatino Linotype"]I personally miss Rose. Me and my Mom cry every time we watch the last episode with her in it.

Now, if Davros will be in the last episode, twill be interesting.

Donna...is the Runaway Bride, right?

The only character that I hope doesn't come back is Captain Jack...

I can't wait for the next season. I miss Rose too, though. Martha is ok, but not the best.

But if the Doctor's next companion falls in love with him... that will get old. However, I think its a good idea that they love him. One might argue that the girl would have to love him to follow him around into the face of so many dangers, but the girl could be just daring, adventurous, and courageous.

I still really love this series. Some may not agree, but I didn't like Doctor Who until I saw this series.

I want to see a better verity in the companions. The first doctor traveled with two school teachers and his granddaughter. The interaction was incredible

I think that it was a fun episode to start off with.I was glad that Mr.Copper survived despite all his knowledge of Earth being off,he's the kind of character you hope gets through to the end.
Can't wait for tonight though when Donna becomes the Doctor's regular companion.
btw:back to back episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures first.

Off topic, but I read that there's a rumor that Sky One or one of the other
British stations was planning on bringing back Blakes7.So maybe Doctor Who will get some good competition.

I really like the new season. I think Donna is going to be a great assistant. I wasn't sure at first, but by the end of the episode, I thought she was excellent. Funny, and not going to fall in love with the Doctor! Yes! (Not that I didn't like Rose or Martha -- they were both nice assistants -- but it will be nice to NOT have any falling in love for a bit.) :)

*edit* Oh, and I really really love it that it has an older woman in a good role! It seems like mature women who are cool role models are rare as hens' teeth on TV most of the time. I also like what they did with the Sarah Jane Adventures.

I wish I'd seen the first encounter! They still either haven't run it, or else I managed to miss "The Runaway Bride."

Was Donna the runaway bride?
