1. I missed out on being in the top ten percent of my high school class by one person (as in, I was the highest ranked NOT in the top ten) and then missed getting a Summa Cum Laude on my college degree by less than a tenth of a grade point!

2. Down through the years, I have at some point played (sufficient to perform before an audience) each of the following instruments: Piano, Organ, Saxophone (three sizes), Clarinet, Recorder (block flute, not tape), Oboe, Bassoon, Classical Guitar, Violin, and have played but not performed on Flute, Cello and Horn.

3. The above has led me to compose music. Some of my arranging work has had audiences, and I hope my compositions will, some day as well.

4. I also like writing science fiction and fantasy. Nothing published, but I've had a few wins in amateur online contests.

5. My entire household likes anime and manga except my wife, who thinks her husband and kids are nuts. (She's probably right, I suppose) And even she has enjoyed a few things (she loved Please Teacher and Oh, My Goddess.)

6. I "drove" my Grandpa's cadillac backwards down a steep driveway, across the road, and took out the mayor's brick mailbox across the street when I was two. (That's how they put it whenever they teased me. In reality I somehow got into the car by myself and got the handbrake unset. The following actions went as described, though.)

7. Since leaving home when I was 17 (I supported myself in my senior year) I have made a living as a security guard, a greenskeeper, an aluminum mill worker, a tool&die repairman, a drafter, a UNIX sys admin, and finally an electrical engineer.

8. I restored a sail boat, and used to enjoy sailing it (my health hasn't permitted for several years.)

9. My elder son, whom I am very proud of, has performed twice on the stage of Avery Fisher Hall (where the New York Philharmonic normally plays) in addition to a number of other fine venues.

10. I'm a nut about cooking. So much so, that I would be embarrassed to admit how much I have paid for pots, pans, and knifes. I do 'down home Southern', Italian, and Japanese. I especially enjoy sauces, soups and main dishes, but I'm also quite proficient at Sushi and Sashimi.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

1. I am right-handed.
2. I have a service dog named Pebbles --look to the left --ind't she cute? She is such a blessing!
3. I am a survivor of child abuse.
4. I finally got myself out of an abusive relationship with my mother. I am now on my own --but am so blessed because the family of God is taking care of me. ;)
5. I am a total cat person. I want a kitten so badly--but I have to wait...
6. I like making random noises and doing random voices --really only people I really am comfortable around hear me do these, though.
7. I have a birthmark on my left knee that looks like a J and a C...my mom would always mess with me and tell me a roach bit me there...:eh:
8. I want to work with animals --but I also love working with special-needs kids --so I'm still trying to figure out what God is calling me to after I graduate.
9. Before I went to Pennsylvania, to get Pebbles, I had never been farther north than Abilene, TX or farther east than Mississippi. That was also my 2nd roundtrip flight in an airplane.
10. When I went to get Pebbles, I was the only one in my class (service dog class) that didn't have a support person with them. But the other support people pretty much "adopted" me while we were in training, so it was good.
11. I don't like girly-girl stuff like shopping for clothes or doing hair/makeup. I like playing video games, reading, walking outdoors, watching Discovery/History/Food Network/Animal Planet and would really love to shoot a deer. (mmm....deer meat is SO good!!!)
12. And lastly, I can purr like a cat. Not sure how I do it...just something I started doing back in 4th grade...pretty much freaks people out...it's fun!
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

1. I was taken out of two years worth of depression through prayer. The depression was so bad that I was nearly 50 pounds underweight from what I remember. I would have anxiety attacks every hour, only got short periods of sleep and I would have a heart rate near 200 bpm... was rushed to the hospital numerous times, had testings for many, many different conditions and was even given an overdose of medication I didn't need by one doctor. I was given numerous meds that had no effect. I was pretty much thrown back and forth between too many specialist to name. I became better in a very short period of time, once I rededicated myself to God. I had never really known who He was, up until I shouted out for release from all that. I was raised Christian... but never "practiced" it. I had no relationship with Him before that all happened.

2. I'm obsessed with Photography and am in the process of starting my own company.

3. I'm learning Guitar, Drums and Keyboard. I'm having problems due to my fingers locking up (have had this problem since I was little... no one really knew why for some reason)... it's very frustrating sometimes, but I have set my mind to work through it.

4. I was one of the fastest runners at my school and won a few awards for it. I've played basketball, football and baseball, but haven't done anything with all of it since I was pushed out of school(the school had three really "important" children come there, that were kids of politicians, so they had to tell three of the current students to "hit the road". I was picked, because my math scores were "unacceptable", so they told me to seek special classes at another school. I later did the whole school thing at home... went to work in the construction and demolition industry two days after I finished school. I'm made fun of by a few old classmates whenever I see them somewhere by random.

5. I'm horribly shy. I couldn't look anyone in the eyes until I was 17... everyone used to think I was rude. I mix up my words, when talking to new people... and I tend to make unfunny jokes, because I like to make people laugh... but normally it is a fail. I hate making phone calls... even now, it bothers me to call people I don't know well.

6. I love anything to do with vehicles... I love to race(legally) and have done so a few times at the local race track.

7. Dust is my worst enemy. I can't stand seeing it on things.

8. I love rain... when it rains I have to be outside in it.

9. I can be found laying in the fields around here, just staring at the sky. I'm a big thinker(but my social skills leave much to be desired).

10. I crashed a Golf Cart into a garage when I was 8. I was trying to impress the girl next door apparently, when my hands slipped off the wheel.

11. I was on the news, because I won best costume at some Halloween contest when I was about 9.

12. I used to ask for nothing but Legos and matchbox cars when I was little... I would build random things and play for 5 hours at a time if I could.

13. I'm part Irish.

14. Randomness is awesome.

All I can think of for now... :p

Thought of a few more:

9. I am a very skinny guy. I am 5'11" tall and weigh in at just 135 pounds. Somehow, I still manage to pick up heavy objects just fine.

12. My favorite weather is gloomy with rain.

14. One of my favorite bands, Abney Park, stole a picture of me from my myspace page and added it to their website.

15. I wear glasses because I need them, but I still love them. I think they look good on my face.
[font="Tahoma"][SIZE="2"]"It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

1. I'm a video game design major
2. I have voluntarily suspended my own driver's license three times. It's more mysterious if I don't tell you why, muahahaha...

3.I can point both my feet straight backward with no pain (though I have to be leaning against something, as my knees no longer work in that position.)

4. I have sung onstage at Carnegie Hall in NYC in front of a couple thousand people.

5. My twin sister also performed in that same concert with me.

6. My younger sister also performed at Carnegie Hall roughly three years later.

7. I have been in two plane crashes, luckily both were on the ground.

8. I have had basic training in various clown activities, such as juggling and unicycle-riding, though I'm extraordinarily out of practice. I still have two unicycles, though.

9. My sister, cousin, one of our friends and I decided out of the blue to perform a show last summer. Then we did. :) It was The Complete History of America Abridged, and it was awesome.

10. The cousin mention above also sang in the aforementioned Carnegie Hall concert with me and my sister.

:)

That's it for now, though I'm sure if I dug around I could find more.

Nifty! Yeah, my mom grew up in San Juan and lived with a family in Chicago for awhile when she was 18 (something like that). My grandmother, uncles, and cousins still live in San Juan for the most part. I've been to Puerto Rico many times, but we haven't gone back in a couple years. I'm the worst failure as a Puerto Rican, though, because my Spanish is horrible even though I took it for five years (maybe I can blame public school for making it tedious and boring). For the record, Puerto Rican food is amazing, XD.

My natural facial expression is "B[" XDD. Sometimes it makes people think I'm angry or depressed when I'm not. It also scares the crap out of my friend, XD.

More things to add:
1) I've been to Scotland, Iceland, England (twice), and China, yet I've never been father west then Chicago (Detroit, if you count airports).
2) I'm an only child and I'm not spoiled.
3) I've been on the news twice. Once when I was a baby in the hospital, and once about a year ago for an interview about China.
4) I've had haggis and liked it.
5) I've had chicken feet and liked it.
6) I can use chopsticks very easily.
7) My immune system rocks; I hardly get sick.

Wow, there's so many LotR fanatics. You guys make me so proud T__T. I just wanna give you guys some lembas bread and a Rohirrim helmet.

I'm such an LotR freak (when I was on a trip for my college orientation in Miami, I stayed up late with my sister each night in the hotel watching the each movie on TNT (the trilogy showed two weeks ago)).
I can't believe I've only seen the Fellowship twice. And of course, Legolas is my favorite character.
I have yet to read The Silmarillion.

Did you guys get your elven name from here?:

That's where I got mine.

I've seen the trilogy, heavens knows how many times. XD I've read The Silmarillion. I love it.

I've never even seen that website before. I was given mine by a close friend Elraen. But that's only a short version of my name, the full version is Miruialiel. ^.^

Aw

The only tangible LotR stuff I have are The Two Towers and Return of the King dvds, a picture of Legolas (which is hanging in a frame at the entrance of my room), and The Two Towers book. O.O

I've got to put the Silmarillion on my to-read list.

Wow, that's a long name. Mine's Alasse Ancalimon. It's got that weird dot thing over the 'e' and an accent over the 'i'.
