Someone's father

Found out earlier that my father has cancer. All we know is that it's malignant. We don't know what kind it is, or whether it's treatable or not.
Well, we haven't gotten all the info yet, but it's lung cancer at stage 4. Without treatment, he has 6 months. With treatment, they give him 5 years. With treatment, he'll also be unable to go to work again (I suspect we'll be doing a combination of chemo and radiation, if that's an option), so all he can do is use his year and a half of sick leave until retirement comes along (next year).

Please pray for his father.

"Got some good news. We're going to do a clinical trial that has a 50% chance of working on lung cancer in a nonsmoker. It's not a foolproof plan (obviously), but a better one than chemo or radiation."
