Pebbles' ear

Postby Sheenar » Sat Apr 05, 2008 4:53 pm

Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a good week!

Pebbles suffers from chronic ear infections because of allergies. She's on Benadryl year-round, but her ear infections keep coming back over and over.
She currently has an infection in her left ear. We've seen the vet twice for it. This last time, he gave us a different medicine than the first time, but it's looking worse, not better. Her ear is all red and angry-looking. We still have some medicine left---we should finish it in a few days.
Please pray for her ear to get better. I don't want to have to leave her at the vet again to be sedated to have her ears cleaned. I also don't like to see her not feeling 100%. Even though she's still all wiggly and is working like normal, I can tell it's bothering her. I just feel so helpless. I can't make it go away.
The vet said the ear infections will probably be life-long for Pebbles --it'll be a chronic condition. She'll have to go to the vet for it over and over for the rest of her life. She can still work and have a full and happy life (it's not hurting her a lot, just some discomfort), but I still don't like to not be able to make a problem go away.
Please pray for Pebbles. She's my puppy/baby and I hate seeing her have these problems over and over. She does so much for me, but I can't "fix" this problem for her. Hopefully it'll be manageable so it happens less.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

I will say a prayer for Pebbles. My dog has that problem too, though the medication seems to help her the majority of the time... it's pretty bad around this time of year though. :(
