Vyse showed/gave me the link to here, and I'm thinking that this will really be a good place. =)

It's raining and it's beautiful outside. The trees are either still blossoming or have green leaves again. ^__^

There really is a lot to be thankful for in my life right now, especially the people in it. =)

I have $15.71, and nothing to spend it on (yet). I am going to the beach next week with my youth group. I have awesome friends. Those are the highlights of my life.

Oo fun thread!
My dad just got a job again, my senior year is almost over, I got invited to a special banquet for honor grads, found a date for prom who's a nice christian lad (and invited me to a play), and college is mostly paid for. Oh, and I got to have a really good bacon cheeseburger for dinner! ^^ And how could I forget my awesomely awesome friends up north who showed me the best of Maine over spring break.

I have so much to be grateful for lately. Thank you so much for taking care of me, Father.

Good friends, a great school, conferences, and when it can be arranged: food, wine, and signal processing.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Neil Postman

Some of the greatest friends in the world. The tenth FY manga. (Amiboshi! *squeal*) At this moment listening to my favorite song from Thumbelina. (Yay for HBO) Knowing that I did something right.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

-Christian friends
-Free time (...to play games! ;) )

What a great thread. Good idea Vyse.

I am always thankful for my loving wife, and for the patience that God has gifted me with. Well, and for CAA. You guys make my day at work a little more bearable.^^

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I have a wonderful, wonderful boyfriend. =) He's always there for me.
It's beautiful outside and the breeze is coming in through the open window. ^_^
Going through a huge change of religions now, but I feel like it's the right thing to do. Praying and Bible verses give comfort. =) I have friends helping me too.

A wonderful old lady at our church gave me twenty five dollar because she says she'll forget my birthday when it comes. It don't get much better than that!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
