The plot lines are wildly divergent, with the movie being horribly rushed, pacing wise and cutting many characters out that appear in the TV series.

It is a good series (the reason for my username and avatar, in fact); it has maybe the second-best anime ending I've ever seen, not counting anime movies. Are you watching it in English or Japanese? I've only seen it in Japanese, and I thought Kiba's voice was very good.

I'm surprised a female would like SAK that much. I watched volume 1 a while ago and I couldn't take it. Harem anime just seem so unbearably corny to me. But hey, if you dig it, that's what matters.;)

The tv series and the OVA was licensed by Geneon Entertainment. If the title is not pick up by anyone else, there is no way that Sci Fi Channel could get the tv series or the OVA airing rights.

Aside from X on SciFi (pretty but VERY confusing), I've been watching a LOT of Code Geass lately.

Act 1 of Live Action Sailor Moon yesterday.Pretty good.I especially love the fact that they establish Usagi as a normal girl before the Big Revelation is made by Luna that she's really Sailor Moon. The fight scenes and animation were also well done.It was hard to believe that Luna was suppose to be just a plushie the way she moved.

Le Chevalier D'eon

Postby Tyrel » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:01 pm

Well, I just finished the last episode of "Le Chevalier D'eon". I don't know what the budget was, but it was a really great anime right up until their conclusion. Not that it was a terrible ending, or too sudden. It was built up, and well done enough, but it felt at some points through the show as though the story was being determined a la carte. The art was really quite acceptable, with a very few sloppy facials near the end. The concept of drawing off of history and actual historical figures {like Robespierre, who I really appreciated being in there, and not as poorly presented as was king Louis}, and working a story around it, was well done, and made it at least a little bit more interesting.

Overall, I thought it was good, but in a sense, given the conclusion, I'm glad it was just as long as it was. I suppose the beginning of the show made me set my standards for it really high. It is quite a good anime.

Next, I've got Noir. I'm going to have to start that sometime soon.

Over the weekend I watched a random episode of FMA, and a random episode of Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig. I was quite intrigued by GITS. I really want to actually watch it now. XD

Oh, and I watched half of Gunslinger Girl episode 1 last night. :p

I watched Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade with my mom last night. As expected, she was a mess by the end, but I'm glad she liked it and agreed with me that the animation is superb.
