It's not worth getting a bluray until it's more popular and therefore cheaper... Do they allow for downgrading quality? I mean, can I instead of burning 2 hours of high def tv, can I burn like 30 hours of EP dvd video and audio and subs?
Will the burnable Dual layer discs play on home DVD devices?
That's an important thing... Also, are they - r or + r? Or, is it a mysterious THIRD format? I sure hope not... It's bad enough that no matter WHAT I burn, it won't play on every DVD player... Severely limits my ability to sell.
P.S. I actually had someone say "Well it's illegal to sell them." I just got this big grin on my face and said "No it's not." and we went back and forth for a few minutes, me hoping he'd get how rediculous what he had said was. I finally had to tell him I wasn't making copies of movies to sell. I was making my OWN stuff to sell. I don't know why people assume these things are only going to be used for illegal purposes... We all know what assume does, don't we? (of course, we all have our share of hoof-in-mouth disease, hee-haw)
I just realise how confusing this was, so i'm colorcoding... I'll use blue when I'm talking about bluray and red when I'm talking about dual-layer
