Evil Dr. Wier is!

I love SG-1 and Atlantis! Wow, I am such a big scifi nerd/geek.

Anyway, this is a really good season. My only complaint about Atlantis though is they seem to have so many plots and bad guys they want to use that they jump around so much, by the time they want to use a previously introduced bad guy again they have to give you clips of episodes from the beginning of last season so you can recall it all properly. Has anyone noticed that or is it just me?

Did that make any sense?

Was there any explanation on how Taleia got preggers to begin with?? I missed a few episodes and now I find out that the Replicator home world is destroyed and the Wraith have ZedPMs, there's a baby on the way and no one knows who the father is.

Tonight is the season finale on Stargate Atlantis.Next month begins
The Sarah Jane Adventures along with the new season of Doctor Who.

I also think that BSG starts it's final season this month.

I know this is an old thread, but I think the news is sufficient to warrant its resurrection.

Anyways, Atlantis is getting canceled!

I have just finished the ten seasons and three movies of SG-1, and am just about to start on Atlantis. I was kind of looking forward to catching up with the series and being able to discuss it with people who are watching it on tv. It seems, however, that I am eternally doomed to be one show behind everyone else when it comes to Stargate. Still, Universe looks like it will be cool, I just hope they find a way to incorporate some of the favorite characters from SG-1 and Atlantis; It would be a shame for them to waste 15 seasons of character development.

Disclaimer: SG-1 is an awesome show, just be warned that the pilot episode has a rather long scene of full nudity in it (a leftover from its days on cable). The rest of the series is fine.

Edit: I almost forgot, Stargate has a tradition of doing one spoof episode out of every 100. So, if you are keeping up with this series, make sure to watch Atlantis episode 100. (SG-1 episodes 100 and 200 were uproariously funny)

Aw man, that sucks! I love Stargate Atlantis! I'm not up to date with the latest though, so I can still catch up on episodes after it's finished. Same with SG1.

Well, on the one hand, no show can go on forever...but man, I hate for it to end with Woolsey in charge. Blegh. And I dunno, I'm not really liking anything in Season 5 so far...but they haven't had the mid-season finale, so maybe things will get better. Season 4 is the best, IMO.

But on the other hand...major thumbs down to the sound of Stargate Universe. I mean, it sounds exactly like a rip from Star Trek meets that one episode (Daedalus Variations, I think?) It's going to take some convincing to make me a fan.

Daedelous Variations it is I think. I liked that episode though so it seems interesting to me.

I don't remember the episode that you're referring too. They do, however, deserve some credit for pulling off Atlantis successfully and if they keep the sharp humour and interesting characters that are present in the previous two series they might be able to make Universe work. I am a big fan of the original SG1 and I was sceptical about Atlantis without Jack, Sam etc, but I ended up enjoying it just as much.

I still prefer the Goaâ€™uld over the Wraith though. XD

Just finished Atlantis Season 1. It ended with the biggest set of cliffhangers ever. My favorite part of the season was the two-part midseason finale "The Storm" and "The Eye". Had that Die Hard feel to it. "Before I Sleep" was extremely creepy/cool. It reminded me why I like Sci-fi.

[spoiler]I mean, seriously, how often do "normal shows" have you go back in time, save your future selves, wait in stasis for 10,000 years, then talk to yourself?[/spoiler]

At first, I was extremely skeptical of Atlantis, given that the only main people from SG-1 on Atlantis are Dr. McKay (who I hated) and Dr. Weir (who was merely tolerable). By the end of this first season, however, I am confident that Atlantis will be every bit as good as SG-1. So far, it has been a superb show. I even like McKay now. It is great to see what was happening to the "other half" while SG-1 was duking it out with the Ori.

The Wraith are way over the top, but they are supposed to be. It is nice being able to shoot the bad guys without having to worry about "saving the host".

And I really like the newest season so far. I think Atlantis just gets better and better every season.
