Tales of the Abyss

Hey guys, I was wondering what you guys think of the game Tales of the Abyss. I just discovered it not to long ago and it looks kinda interesting and I want to know if it is worth buying.

I would like it if you could tell me what you think about the gameplay and battle system and stuff. Are the characters likeable and in-depth? I don't really know how to explain that, lol. Is the plot good? What about the graphics and worlds?

Overall, is Tales of the Abyss worth playing?

Yeah, I really like Tales of the Abyss. Have you played the other tales games because if you have the battle systems are very close. It has been a while since I played it, but I can assure you if you liked the tales game series then you will like it. The gameplay is pretty good, the battle system is real time battle with cool combo and special attacks. Im sorry that Im not going that "indepth", if I had been playing it recently I might be able to do so. Most of the characters are likeable although the main character with the red hair(Sorry I can't remember their names!) is a little bit stuck up and snobby, but he changes over the course of the game. The plot is good, you just have to keep track of the terms they use because if you don't learn then at the start of the game you'll be lost later on when trying to follow the story. The graphics are good, just as they should be. Well its not really worlds, actually like continents and they are good sized. I liked the story a lot.

So overal, I think if you like rpg tales games, then you should like this one. And even if you haven't played any of the other tales games you should still be able to enjoy it. Its not connected with the other games story wise so you don't have to worry about that.

I know I could never make a actual game review to save my life, but I do think it is a good game.

Cool, thanks animedude. I haven't played any of the other tales games, so its a good thing the story doesn't follow the other ones. Haha, its ok if you don't go that indepth. I don't really need that many details. I like rpg's, and this sounds like a cool game. Thanks for your opinion!

I decided to go pick up the game yesterday and I've got to say, it's pretty cool. The beginning of the game is kinda slow but I really like all the characters. They're so funny! Thanks for your input about the game guys! :)

Yeah, it doesn't really matter what RPG you play, they always start out slow. But thats what builds the game up to the point where playing the game is irresistable. Its a key quality that must be present in a RPG otherwise the player will lose interest and just stop playing it all together.
