Ok, Perfect Blue was a really weird movie. I understood it for like the first hour, but then things got really weird and in the end I pretty much ended up despiseing it. Im sorry, but with movies like this, I could make me swear off of anime forever!

And the ending was pretty bad, I think I liked Blackjack better.

Hard to say on what Manga Entertainment may show.

Now this is not all of the anime titles that Manga Entertainment has, but the ones that I can remember.

The titles that are underline are ones that have been showed on Sci Fi Channel or will.

Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie

Street Fighter II V

Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie

Street Fighter Alpha: Generations

Tokko

Virus Buster Serge

Dangaioh

Dead Leaves

Appleseed (the old OVA)

Black Jack

Blood: The Last Vampire

The Castle of Cagliostro

Ghost in the Shell 2

Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. Solid State Society

Highlander: Vengeance

Karas Well, one of the OVA's anyway

Macross II

Macross Plus

Ninja Scroll

Noein

Perfect Blue

Read or Die OVA

They should really show the Castle of Cagliostro! That was like the best Lupin the Third movie.

I agree. Castle of Cagliostro is probably the best thing in Manga's entire catalogue to attract "normal" viewers, not to mention being the best movie they've got.

I'm still amazed that they haven't shown R.O.D. yet, though. What's taking so dang long?

If you want a really good Satoshi Kon movie that's easier to understand, I recommend Millennium Actress. It's much better.

OOoooh! I guess this means that SciFi is pleased with their anime Experiment!

I don't know what to think of Tactics. It's not bad or anything, and I like the more self-contained manner in which the episodes are written, but there doesn't seem to be much here that hasn't already been seen plenty of places before (plus, you know the only reason a show like this would get on "SciFi" is because Manga didn't have much else to offer)

I like watching Tactics, but it always seems that the japanese sometimes focus on exorcising demons. Now, Im wondering if watching Tactics will do me good or harm in the long run. I mean Ive watched like every Inuyasha ep, but that wasn't the main focus of the show. (Cause I always remember Miroku scamming places for a place to stay, food to eat, and even money! And sometimes there wasn't even a demon there at all!) So what do y'all think?

I think we can throw out the anime must have at least a little bit of Sci Fi genre in the story.

As much as the channel name is the Sci Fi Channel, they did show any kind of anime years ago that wasn't in the Sci Fi genre, after all they did show Tenchi Muyo in Love, Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture and Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer in the 90's.

I'm glad to see that it working out for Sci Fi channel. Sci Fi Channel has been pleased with the ratings they been getting from Ani Monday, the ratings have been good, but great. Sci Fi Channel is looking at the ratings in a good way as not thinking they are going to have as good of numbers as Adult Swim has or trying to shock and knock Adult Swim off the block. I'm sure they would like to do that, but they are going about this in term that they are new and they shouldn't be thinking that they will take over the anime tv viewing market right from the get go.

Now for the only bad thing that I see about this is. They will run out of anime programing faster now. I hope that they know this works and try to get other some airing rights from other anime companies. I was hoping that Sci Fi channel would hook up with Bandai Entertainment, but I guess things have smooth out with Bandai and Adult Swim, since they will air Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion in the Spring sometime.

Well it is only two days as opposed to five or six days a week,so I suppose they'll be able to work something out.Though the good news is that they will be finally airing Read or Die.
I love it when people confuse 'exorcise' with 'exercise' as that makes for a hilarious pun!
And by the way what about the ending of the second episode of Tactics?
That was kinda weird.

Bandai could still license titles to the Sci-fi Channel. After all, some of their titles are on Razor, a Canadian-based TV network.

Well, I'm not saying that will not get any Bandai Entertainment titles, but that it looks like Bandai Entertainment and Adult Swim are working with each other again. Then I think Bandai Entertainment will try to get their top anime titles on there first, before going to Sci Fi Channel.

I think the titles like Gundam or any of the titles that Adult Swim doesn't to buy the tv airing rights to, they may end up at Sci Fi Channel.

If Sci Fi Channel wants to get more anime. Then they should go to Bandai Entertainment and buy tv airing rights for the older Bandai titles.

Bandai Entertainment really wants to get their shows aired on tv, since they are not doing as well as they were in the past. Last year, Bandai Entertainment said they really wanted Escaflowne to be showed on tv and was looking for a channel that would buy the rights to air it.

I feel that Sci Fi Channel should go after titles that Adult Swim would not want to deal with or fear of bad ratings. I think there are some titles that would be good for Sci Fi Channel to air and some of them are not the Sci Fi genre.
