Now that I have Wedding Peach 1-6 all I need is to get 7-9 and DX.
I plan on watching Slayers Gorgeous tonight.

I don't quite know what I was expecting when I started this series.

All I know is I didn't expect to be THIS amused. XDD Will be continuing for a while, I think. XD

Well.. I just finished Shakugan no Shana.. Bit of a rushed ending, but I thoroughly enjoyed the series.

Now... I'll probably move on the RahXephon.

You, my friend, are in for a ride. Oh, and any time it doesn't make sense? Just keep watching. I think you'll find it doesn't detract from the show at all.

As for me, I just picked up the double thinpak of Magic Knight Rayearth, Seasons 1 and 2, so I'll be rewatching that for a while.

I've just finished season 2 of 'Black Lagoon'. This has definately been one of the best anime I've seen in quite a while.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I watched most of the Miyazaki movies I own last week: Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Princess Mononoke. Kiki's Delivery Service was the only one I hadn't seen in its entirety before, and I really liked it - especially because of the conversations between Kiki and her artist friend on inspiration, which I can really relate to as a writer.

I also watched the FMA DVD I got for Christmas, and Episode 1 of Spiral, which I didn't even realize I had. I'm halfway between wanting to see the rest and not really caring. Maybe watching the subbed version would make up my mind (I laughed at all the extremely American pronunciations of the Japanese names).

RahXephon is one of the best mecha ever made.

As far as what I have been watching,Sunday I saw ep.29 of
Kimagure Orange Road, which was interesting since it involved Jingoro, the Kasugas' cat as a main character.
Yesterday on Ani-Monday I saw the first two episodes of Tactics, really think it was rather good series so far,and then the re-run of the first two episodes of Noein.

Rurouni Kenshin OVA 1. Pretty interesting, though most of this backstory was already revealed in the anime itself. I'm looking forward to watching the rest, though.

I've been watching Bamboo Blade...I finished up to episode 11 last night..Only 13 have come out so far though...I'll finish 12 and 13 tonight. It's one of the best series I've seen this year. Funny, pretty good storyline, and great characters. Check it out.

@the_wolfs_howl: Yeah, I did that once. A week-long Miyazaki film festival. I think the only ones I have yet to see/own are Porco Rosso and Grave of the Fireflies.

@Tyrel: Black Lagoon is great. I can't wait for the second series.

But...the year just started...

You must not have much hope for anime for the remaining 300+ days.

Hm, anyone know if anything from winter anime season is good? Stuff like True Tears, Spice and Wolf, Rosario no Vampire only seem mildly interesting from the synopses.

To stay on topic: hacked at Shion no Ou and some really old Detective Conan. I really don't feel like finishing up the series that I really should work on... They're just really good, and I don't feel like watching endings...

Rurouni Kenshin OVA 2-4. Ah, so finally I understand what that grave was about. It's interesting to find out about Kenshin's past, and it actually makes his romance with Kaoru more poignant.

Up to episode 10 with RahXephon. It's impressively good, I have to say. I know a lot of people like to compare it to evangelion, but I haven't watched Eva yet, so I can't really compare. If Eva is anything like this though, then I like it a lot.

Recently picked up two anime movies. Tekkonkinkreet and Appleseed. Seen Appleseed before (at least in parts) but first time for Tekkonkinkreet.

Very good. A little acid-trippy in one section, but very good.

Haven't seen any of the latest series yet. I'm enjoying Shion, Ghost Hound and Mokke a lot. Rental Magica is a little formulaic, but okay. I gave up on Neuro and Moyashimon, both of which I thought I was going to enjoy.
