No way, this is much harder:

http://blog53.fc2.com/k/king75/file/owata.html

Z = jump
X = shoot
R = restart (when you die)
The bottom option on the start screen lets you save at certain points, which you will definitely want.

Oh and you need Japanese fonts turned on.

Hard platformer -- hardly the hardest game ever, nor even the hardest platformer I've had the misfortune of attempting.

I was hoping for/expecting a link to Tome-NET or Dwarf Fortress or something.

Still a fun way to kill time =x

Gah, I am stuck on the second level right after you pick up the flag. I can't pass the dude with the crown-looking thing.

Edit: Beat level 2. Can't beat level 3, though.

Yeah, definitely not the hardest game ever. Heck, it's not even the hardest SMB mod ever.

Still fairly difficult though.

Just watching that video makes it look so frustrating.
I don't think I'll play it anytime soon (if I do) unless I wanna go CrAzY.:dizzy:
I guess it might be a good game, but it has Way to many traps.
I mean by the time you beat the first level you'll probably done this: :bang: a few times or so.

Did anyone realize you could go down as well? As far as I can tell, you can go left and stabbed by the S chain, go right and kill the bear then fall off of a cliff, or trigger the trap, jump underneath the trap, then get kicked to death by some random guy. Addicting.

*edit*
I was able to get past the screen to the left! (MAJOR SPOILERS) I was able to do this by jumping on the platform, then, when the spike trap triggered, jump back to the starting platform. Once the spike floor starts dropping, jump on the moving platform, while on the platform, wait for it to move almost all the way to the right, then jump a little bit to the left. Hopefully you will land on the moving platform at the farthest point to the left. Jump once more to the left, and you will make it to the next screen without getting killed by the S ropes! On the next screen there is another bear like creature. It one blocks your bullets with a flurry of punches.

I Wanna be the Guy is harder, IMO. Here's the download link-

I'm always up for a hard game, though, so this should keep me occupied for a while.

Left: What is the way to get past the pig (?) that deflects your attacks?

Right: Given how boring it is to beat Pedobear, I don't have much patience for this route. As far as I can tell, my highest possible jump arc from the previous screen still falls a centimeter short. Anyone know what I'm missing?

Down: Alright. I feel slightly redeemed, because I beat this one. The stupid boss explodes when it dies, and this killed me several times just when I was about to win.

I don't have a lot of time for this now, but I will be back. Challenges like this are hard for me to let go. Translations of the signs might help.

I see you haven't tried Ninja Gaiden. That my friend is one of the hardest video games in history.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

The pig you get for winning lets you fly and can be taken back to previous screens, so I satisfied my curiosity. To the left is just an "under construction" sign, while to the right you eventually reach a strange block and invisible wall. All I haven't tried to do is see if you can take the pig back into the boss room and through the top hatch before it closes, but I don't have patience for that. I'll consider this one beaten, so perhaps I'll look to the others.

Hopefully beating the original game posted here is enough to forgive a double-post. For the most part it wasn't so much hard as filled with death traps you couldn't possibly forsee. At least the end of level puzzles usually required some thought to navigate the traps (in level 3, when the robot threw the flagpole off the level, I actually laughed).

I've also looked at I Wanna be the Guy, but it seems too long to beat quickly. Perhaps I will return to it during the summer.

However, I do want to say one other thing: these games may be hard, but they're not the hardest. I beat two out of three in under an hour, which I think is completely impossible with a game like Battletoads.

As far as I can tell, that bar kills you once it hits the ground, no matter where your character is. The only way to get past it is to be off the screen before it touches. It doesn't move until you touch the ground, so try to jump as far as possible.

If anyone else is having trouble with either of those games, I'd be happy to provide solutions. Since I wasted some of my life playing them I may as well help someone else out.
