Prayer for a Customer

Postby KhakiBlueSocks » Sun Dec 09, 2007 1:43 am

I haven't done this kind of thread in a while, but I really think it's needed for this guy. I wrote about it in my LJ too...

He called in using SEVERE profanity because his phone isn't working. His phone is asking for a PUK code (Pin Unblocking Code) which pops up ONLY when your SIM card detects that someone is trying to crack one of the passcodes. The system that we use to get the PUK code is in a particular system that is down--this system is the only way to get the code. I tell my customer this and he went COMPLETELY ballistic. He then calls me something EXTREMELY offensive, uncalled for, and racial. Took every bit of strength in me NOT to hang up on him--he hung up first.

I understand the frustration that not having his phone may cause, but that was still no reason for him to call me those names. I was wondering if you guys could pray for him that he realizes that calling me those names was NOT right.

Hmm, I wonder what your company's policy is on this. It's not like you have to take abuse over the phone. Perhaps you should ask if it is OK to hang up on him next time. Praying for peace of mind.
