Who else is wanting to see this? Judging from the previews, I think it'll be awesome.

Ooh, me too, me too!! I'm a big Will Smith fan. Have been ever since I, Robot. What I love about him is how he can be cool, funny, and emotional all in the same movie, and when he does get crying scenes he does it very realistically.

I saw the trailer for I Am Legend when I saw the fifth Harry Potter movie, and I was grinning all over my face. Another Will Smith movie to see!

well, judging from the previews, i really don't think that I Am Legend is gonna have much comedy in it. it looks more to be an intense thriller.

It's a horror movie, supposedly, on apple.com/trailers.

You know what SolidArmor? I was actually thinking that while watching the trailer.

Man...what would it like all alone in New York City with no access in or out?

I definitely want to see this one. Will Smith is a brilliant actor. People I know who disdain horror and science fiction will watch Will Smith movies because they are always done so well and his acting ability is so great they seem to forget what genre they are watching.

I wait and see it on dvd. I do want to see it, since the he move is base off the 1954 science fiction novel by Richard Matheson

The novel "I Am Legend" is Horror/Science fiction novel.

There has been two movies made before this one.

1964, film called The Last Man on Earth starting Vincent Price was base off this book and Richard Matheson wrote the screenplay for it. But changes were made and he was not happy with it.

1971, film called the The Omega Man starting Charlton Heston and they took some of the elements out that was in the book.

Newest film I Am Legend changes many elements of the book, but a lot say this one is the better film. Since it adds intense thriller mix in the horror/science fiction elements.

I wouldn't say the ending ruined it, but the ending WAS fairly anticlimactic. It was a good movie, but yeah, the ending, meh.

I saw the movie on http://pluggedinonline.com and a quick scan of the review showed an interesting premise and fairly clean content. Because the review had spoilers I got my sister to read the whole thing at lemme know the rough questionably content level. It sounded quite acceptable so I figured I'd go see it.

Perhaps "enjoyed" isn't the right work for my viewing experience. It was very well done, mixing suspense, drama, action, and touches of humour (like mimicking donkey). I found it rather grim and sad and creepy, but I do appreciate that style. As the movie reached the ending I expected something a little more stupendous to happen, but I thought it was OK.

I do have some questions on certain elements that would be interesting to bounce off those that have already seen it...
"Everybody's weird in their own special way." - P.V.
"Never refuse a breath mint." - my dad
"The UAC is making safer worlds through superior firepower." - Doom 3
"This world is a great sculptor's shop. We are the statues and there is a rumour going round the shop that some of us are some day going to come to life." - C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Hey don't forget about the awesome Cloverfield trailer ^_^ i actually really liked the ending it made the title actually make since. It was pretty typical postapolypse style but i still liked it. Easily one of the best movies of the year.

Actually, to me, the ending made the title make LESS sense.

Spoiler about the end of the book and movie:
At the end of the book, Neville realizes that his killing people while they sleep makes him very similar to mythical vampires that killed people while they slept. He finally realizes he is now a legend, similar to the vampires. At the end of the movie, Col. Neville never considers himself a legend. The people who he saved at the end of the movie consider him a legend, but the title of the movie isn't "He Is Legend," it's "I Am Legend," and since Col. Neville never referred to himself as such (unlike Neville in the book), it makes the title make less sense.
I know the movie isn't called 'He is Legend.'
It just confused a lot of my friends who are obsessed with the CD "I Am Hollywood" and they all accidentally called it either "He is Legend" or "I Am Hollywood."

Anyways, excellent movie.
It had it's flaws.

The main flaw was the absence of [excuse my language], "Oh, HEELLLLLLL, NO!"

I don't care a serious a movie is.
I recall him saying that in "The Pursuit of Happyness."

I have my critiques of the poorly-written behavior of the infected humans.
I would go off on it, but I doubt anyone would read a sentence into the rant.
