Dance performance
I have dance performances this weekend, and I'm really worried about it. We had our first tech rehearsal yesterday, and by the end of the rehearsal my calf was so tired it was tensing up and I was starting to limp a little. This is the most difficult performance I've ever been in, and I have a history of developing tension in my hamstring. Please pray that as I go through the final rehearsals and then the performances that I can perform freely without fear of hurting myself. Thanks.

Yes, I forgot to mention that on my old prayer thread. I was originally planning to just start taking classes again, but when I got the opportunity to audition for this performance, I decided I really needed to be performing again. It's been awesome but rather difficult.

Hey take it from a dancer...You'll be fine just relax, don't get stressed out cause that's when things start going wrong. Just relax, maybe before the performance drink so tea or something to help you stay calm. Hope you do well. Praying.
Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.
He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.
He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:
"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."
The lord replied:
"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."

A little update: so far we've gotten through all the tech and dress rehearsals and my leg hasn't given me any more problems. We have a matinee performance tomorrow, and I'm just praying I'll have the stamina for it. I have a very large part in the performance, which of course makes me happy and thankful, but it also means I don't get many breaks to relax. But I'm trusting God that He will allow me to fully use the talent He gave me!

My feet and ankles gave out completely when I had to perform on pointe, they're were practically numb. And my hyper-extended knee didn't help. Praying for you.

God + adrenaline = amazing! My dance performances were awesome! Right when I felt like my energy was drained, I had a huge burst of more energy for the finale. I really think it's the best I've ever danced, and I can't do anything but give God the glory.
