mother in laws dog died.

Her little half chihuahua, half min pin, Nicky, had to be put down after a serious heart attack. She was 12 1/2 years old. Janet (my mother in law) got her from an abusive home when Nicky was 6 months old. The family had bought her to be a playmate to their other dog, but in the process abused her (Nicky would run away from anyone standing and would not come to anyone unless they were sitting down.) Janet could tell the dog had been abused and since the people were trying to sell her without much success, Janet said she'd buy her. Her first intention was just to get her used to people and then give her o soemone who would take care of her. Little Nicky bonded to her sons and she's been a member of the family ever since. She was a sweet little thing who led unsuspecting visitors to their doom...lol. Well, basically if you sat down, she'd jump on your lap and then you'd pet her...she would not let you stop. You stopped she would put her head under your hand...and if you ignored her she would either move her head for the effect or she would give you this intimidating stare. So, the passign of a great family pet is gone, but she is in a better place now. Just prayers of comfort on the family please.

I am so sorry to hear that. I just got a chihuahua puppy in September; it would be very hard to get used to life without her. You and your family will be in my prayers. <='o

Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."
