Please pray for these girls...

Postby Okami » Mon Nov 12, 2007 2:44 am

I heard about this accident yesterday at youth group, as one of the members knew these girls from school (and had said others may know them as well, from living much outside of the area, I do not)

Here's the Article:

It hits hard, though, because that's not too far away from where some of my closest accountability partners live...and I know it hits really close to home for many of my friends.

I can't guarentee I can keep you guys updated, but please pray for all of their safe recoveries! From what I hear beyond this article, it was an accident that goes far beyond words...

I'm praying for them.
"Lives are power." - Kamille Bidan
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" - Christ the Lord (John 11:25-26)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1:2-4.

Remember - the Lord will be with you - always. :)

Thanks for posting this. It's a good reminder for us in large media markets (the DFW market is about the same size as the Boston or San Fransisco Bay markets.)

My first reaction was, "Well stuff like that happens around here all the time! We have terrible accidents involving schoolkids at least monthly!" In fact, this accident isn't too different in the brief summary than something that happened a couple years ago to some students in my son's high school.

But my second reaction was, "So why am I not praying for victims like these monthly, not to mention these new ones?"

It's easy to become jaded. It's must harder to do the right thing.

I will pray, for these, and the next ones I hear of.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.
