prayer for writing

Postby bakura_fan » Tue Nov 06, 2007 6:40 pm

I've been writing a story since I was 13. It's been really difficult because the story plot itself keeps changing (even some fo the characters). I have just started writing it again and it's a bit upsetting to see how slow the story is comming along (Just started chapter three). I've already written the ending and some other dialogue that happens throughout the story but it's just taking so long. >_< I'd really like to finish this story before the end of this year. So I guess I'm just asking for prayer that if it's in God's will that I will finish this story and that it will reflect his love (my story is a fantasy adventure story mixed with subtle christian aspects). Whenever it is done I will post the prologue and the first chapter...once it's copywrited of course...sorry, not taking any chances. Hopefully I'll be able to get it published too. (but let's take one prayer request at a time.)

"Slow, love, slow. Time's so fast. Now goes quickly, see Now it's past!
Soon will come, Soon will last. Wait." - Wait (sweeney todd)

Oh, Im sorry about that. But I know you can do it, just keep sticking with it and before you know it you'll finish it, hopefully. My friend is also writing a book, so he knows how it is. Good luck on finishing it, and may God be with you!

Will be praying.....I've written alot of stuff myself, and I know that it takes a long, long time during that process to make decisions as well as to write. But, hey, that's part of the process.....

Wow, I've been writing a long and detailed story for Christ since late 1999.
I'll indeed pray for you. Godspeed.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I'll be praying.

I have exactly the same problem. I've been working on some stories for ages now and they don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Yay! It's good to have some more CAA writers, and more good Christian allusioned stories. ^__^

P.S. I know you have your goals and stuff, but take things at a moderate pace if you can. If you rush, you lose sight of what's really important.
