Between the Buried and Me - Colors

Postby Kkun » Sun Sep 02, 2007 8:52 pm

I just listened to it in its entirety at a friend's house.

It's everything you want it to be and a whole lot more.

Believe it.

I'm honestly exhausted after listening to it.

It's not out yet.....
Ah, I think I understand.

Anyways, I was going to make a thread about it, but you beat me to it.

How'd your friend get his so early? (limewire or other?)

Magic. He got it through magic. ;)

We listened to it in surround sound, all 65 minutes of it. I've never been a BTBAM fan before, really. I'd heard a lot of their other stuff, but it wasn't enough to make me go buy anything. Colors is an entirely different story. I don't know how the lyrics are, but what I heard was gorgeous.

Very amazing cd. I've only listened to it once, though.

I listened to the first 6 songs (in 5.1 surround+subwoofer) And...WOW. This is the best cd of the year, I'm sorry. It is.

Technically and talent-wise, it probably is the best, but the new Every Time I Die came out today........and I like them way more than BTBAM, so ETID probably wins it for me. ; )

Still, Colors is brilliant. I can't wait to listen to it again.

I picked up "Colors" and I love the heck out of it.
Track 2 has one random line of stupidity, but compared to the other albums musically and lyrically, it's the musical incarnate of brilliance.

Easily my favorite anticipated album of '07 next to "The Fiancee."

Quite possibly the best album of this year. Certainly my favorite by BTBAM.
I like Every Time I Die as well but as for personal preference I pick BTBAM. :)

Why are people in this thread comparing a Southern Rock/Hardcore band with Between the Buried and Me?

Should I open a thread comparing Oasis to August Burns Red? XD

o.o We weren't comparing the bands musically, I was simply saying that I like The Big Dirty more than Colors. We were discussing the album in reference to other albums that came out around that time, which I think is fine to do. : )

Well I can't say that they are my favorite band, but they sure know how to make great music, too bad they don't have good vocals.

Good thing they do?
Tommy Rogers has quite original vocals that are hard to pull off.

I can imitate Claudio Sanchez, you Coheed fan, but not Tommy.

You need to hear more of them.

I will agree his vocals were not so good when they released their first album, though.
