I had fight of depression late last week. Anytime that I have depression, its due to my aids meds messing me up a bit.

I got over it in a few days, but there has been something that I haven't really said here or ask for pray.

As most of you know, I was in the hospital last month, because of problems with my heart and had fluid build up in my body.

I was born with a congenital heart defect. This is why I now going to congenital heart disease clinic now after I got out of the hospital.

The reason why they have this clinic is, because a lot of kids are reaching or have reach adulthood and we need newer care that what we had as a child.

So, I have been living with congenital heart disease all my life and since my heart problem was a major one, I now have symptoms of heart failure and why I was in the hospital for.

Really, I was born with heart failure since I was born. Since I was born as a blue baby and my heart wasn't working, when I was born. All they could do was fix it the best they could and they did. But my heart has never work like 100% a normal heart should. Only one side of my heart works and has been like that since I had heart surgery. That was the only way they could fix is and really the side that does the pumping is really the wrong side. Really, I have been dealing with a weak heart, since the day that I came in this world. I guess as a child and a teen, I never wanted to use the term heart failure. Its a scary word, but its just like having aids. It doesn't mean you are going to drop dead in like three months or a year. You just take meds for it, to help the heart stay strong as it can and they now have very good meds for this, just like they do with aids. My doctor told me that they really don't like using the word heart failure, because people freak out. But after you learn about it, its just like having cancer or aids, its just a problem with your heart that is conic problem that you just have to take meds, watch your diet and work out a little.

I say this now, I was scary when I came home from the hospital and at first. I know that sounds odd, but I just didn't know how to handle it at first and I really didn't want to say much to anyone at CAA about it.

But then I felt that this was really stupid to sit and worry. I got to thinking, I dealt with my heart problem, when I was little and I dealt with aids and I was scared then. But I just kept telling myself that I will get better and just put it in God's hands.

If I can from a close call from aids, when I was teen, then this shouldn't be nothing. I learn that problem now with my heart is nothing to worry about or be afraid of. If I put it in God's hands, take my meds and be upbeat about it, I can live a full good life. I have been beating aids for 14 years, so this will be a piece of cake.

I has taken me some time to really post this or say anything about it here. I know that I'm going to be fine, but I know that I can't do this alone and need pray also.

Let me start off by making sure to say, I'm not telling you this to say "you're luckier than some people" but to say "I feel a lot of sympathy for you". One of my cousins died at somewhere around six months old due to a heart defect, after a long battle to save him. Perhaps if he had been born today they could have saved him, but this was in the sixties. I remember how hard it was on my cousins (his older sisters) who were my age, and I still feel the deep impact his funeral had on me, a mere elementary school kid at the time.

Somewhere in there, someone told me that God's heaven wouldn't be complete without innocent babies, and that's why He called home someone so young. I'm sure it was just a struggling attempt to help a kid make sense of it, but it made me see something. God has need of all of us. However senseless our conditions may seem to us, he loves us as we are, not as we wish we were.

My prayers are with you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

OK, I'll pray for you. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking for prayer-wise. It seems like you've been living with a heart condition for 27 years and aids for 14 years, so you are doing pretty good both ways.

I suppose unless you ask otherwise, I will pray for your peace through these changes.

Mostly for the heart.

The reason why I was in the hospital last month was, because I have symptoms of heart failure. But if I go back and look at my heart history, I had the symptoms of heart failure since I was born.

They are learning now that babies that were born with a heart problem, as we grow older, we run into problems like I'm having now.

I'm doing well and know what to do as watch my diet and fluid intake since I came home from the hospital.

But I never really told alot of people the major reason why got fluid build up in my lung and why I was sent to the hospital in the first place in Sept.

It took me a bit to really deal with it and was scare about it after coming home from the hospital and not really telling anyone here, other then a few friends.

I guess you can say, I feel better knowing that I have more people praying for me over this new problem that I have to deal with.

Just knowing people are praying can mean a lot in ANY circumstance.

...and I'm one of 'em :)

Wow. Just, wow. I'm sorry to hear all that, and you will definitely be in my prayers, Roy. Have you considered getting an artificial heart, by any chance? I know they make them, and it might be the best option, given what I understood of your statements.

Remember this, thats why you have that kind of sickness is because God wants you to rely on Him, Have faith bro...

Remember the woman who is suffering from her sickness, who Immediately touched the robe of Jesus Christ and the healing power of Jesus Christ came out of Him and the woman was healed.

Its Faith in the Lord bro... I know this is a trial that you must overcome it with the help of our Lord to be able to be reliant to him and to be Like Him. I'll include you in my Prayers bro!!

Footprints in the sand by Carolyn Joyce Carty

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of foot prints in the sand: one belonging to him the other to the lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the foot prints in the sand.

He noticed that name times along the path of his life there was only one set o footprints.

He also noticed that it was at the lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it:

"lord, you said once i decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But i have noticed during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of foot prints. I dont understand why when i needed you most you would leave me."

The lord replied:

"My son, my precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that i carried you."
