I agree. That kid just became a MAJOR suspect. He's got the motive, he's clearly the sort to take chances, and sure enough, he can fly (explaining how he could get from California to New York as well as the method of killing)! Still, that leaves the identity of Mrs. Petrelli's assailant a mystery.
General comments about the most recent episode, which I thought was a slight step down from last week
The Takezo Kensei portion was a bit of a disappointment, I think. I thought the sudden jump from wastrel to hero was a little TOO sudden. Well, at least Hiro's staying in the past a little while longer, so maybe the character development will even out in the coming weeks (I was also sad that they didn't show the fight with the angry ronin, though I can understand why a TV budget wouldn't allow it)

Well, now we know what happened to DL. Too bad.

So, what do you think Sylar's problem is? Has something really been done to him, or is he still just too weak to use his powers? Speaking of which, how could he steal Candice/Michelle's powers if his own aren't working?

Mohinder getting set up in Issac's old studio is kind of... contrived. Yes, I know it was part of the plan to snoop through the paintings, but still...

Speaking of the paintings, DUDE. I can't wait to see what leads us to THAT point. Will Claire tell West about Noah? (I need to rant, though, that my local newspaper spoiled most of the surprise in their episode summary. BAD paper! No biscuit!)
Ya' know, about the Mohinder in his new lab thing
Isn't Bob, Matt Parkman's father? If that's so, it's no wonder that Noah and the Hatian were there to tagg Matt in the first season. Matt's dad, Bob, must've known it. Not only that, doesn't Matt still have the tracking device lodgged in his neck? I think Bob's plotting something involving both Mohinder and Matt, knowing that they're sneaking around tryin' to bring 'em down.

That, and I really do think Sylar has the virus. First off, Candice was stupid to be alone with that psychopath. Second, how would he know that his power worked? He can now manipulate the area around him to deceive others. But, who's to say that he himself would view his own deception, save in a mirror? Poor Candice. But that's what you get for messin' with a mad-man. XD Why'd the Company want him alive anyways!?

And....alright. I'm beginning to wonder if that new kid is really Kaito's killer, like everyone else. Motive, the hoddie, he can fly, (though I believe Bob tagged him. As Noah's HQ was in Texas and New York. And both have old men glasses, and the choice of scene transitions was perfect.) And who else would Claire kiss? Someone she doesn't know? XD Maan. Trippy.

And people can force Issac's paintings to be wrong. I mean, the explosion hasn't happened. Or should I add a "yet" there?

Good point about the bomb paintings. Then again, Isaac also drew Hiro killing Sylar, and one version of the future saw THAT changed too. I wonder if they'll ever explain just now set in stone that art really is?

Also, good call about Bob. I never even thought about his glasses. Still, even if West isn't going to be the one to off Noah, I bet you anything he's in deep with whoever is offing the previous generation of Heroes.

Speaking of Bob, though... when was it suggested that he's Matt's father? I seem to have missed that.

Yeah, remember this is comic book logic we're dealing with here. And NO ONE stays dead in comics.

Eep. Double post.

So, about this week. Wow. Technically, not a whole lot actually happened, but it sure FELT more eventful than last week...
Matt's Dad is the nightmare man?!?!?!?!?!? Whoa.

So Sylar's back to "Gabriel" now? I take it his powers are still gone, otherwise he would have killed the driver kid with something more impressive than a brick, but then how did he get to that road? Was he in Mexico to begin with?

How 'bout Issac's cousin, huh? The hybrid between Peter and a VCR! :)

I'm glad Nathan ditched the hobo beard, but I wonder when they'll explain what's up with the burned face reflection he keeps seeing.
Finally (and I don't think this is spoiler worthy): no Hiro or Peter? At ALL? Oh well, I guess there's only so much time in one hour...

OK, here goes:
For some reason, I don't think Mr. Parkman is Worse than the Boogeyman. At least, barring shapeshifting or illusion powers he isn't the hooded killer. I think that he is at best strongly connected to Molly's dreams.
Then again, virtually all Molly-related spoilers have been bunk. We were teased that she could have been the only one capable of stopping Sylar; it turns out that she's just a tracking device. Then WTTB haunts her--if the spoilers on Heroeswiki are true, this villain is gonna turn out to be LAME.

Uh, Isaac is dead, remember? I think you mean Micah.

My theory for errr, Gabriel: He probably figured out that the twins' powers work in conjunction and will probably kill+steal from Alejandro, not Maya. My guess is that he will use that reversal power to coerce Maya into doing bad things, for instance "If you don't do this this and this I'm gonna make you kill a lot of people and you'll get the blame, etc. etc." Certainly makes the whole "and she's all mine" from the earlier preview into perspective.

I hate West.

Funny, some of the theories floating around about Nathan's illusions is that he "inherited" Nikki's split personality syndrome.
Wow, good theory, it falls in his character too, the fact that she is the one who can speak english adds to this theory. However...
He could take BOTH their powers eventually and be able to start and stop them as he wishes. Sylar was always better at using his powers better then the original owners did.

I actually wondered what would happen if Sylar/Gabriel tried to take both their powers. If one by definition cancels out the other, would having them both at once render them mutually useless?

I don't think Daddy Parkman being WTTB has to mean that he's the hooded killer. Once again, back to the multiple killers in cahoots theory.

I never even thought of that Nathan/Nikki similarity. I wonder if it's true?

Finally, I wholeheartedly agree with anything mean anyone says about West. He's trying WAY to hard to be likeable, which just makes me wanna smack him.

XD!!!! God knows she'd be unstoppable.
I'm still thinking it has to be one of the old generation of heroes. I'm thinking one of the women in the photograph. Why? Because most of the ones whom we know are alive are dead.
That, and it couldn't have been Bob (he'd die) or Mr. Parkman (he's too fat and would splat first)

Oh, I definitely agree that one of the original heroes is behind it. I just don't think that it's any ONE of them acting alone. I think Mr. Parkman is in it, since he attacked Mrs. Peterelli, and one accomplice is the hooded killer, working with him. On that note, I just realized that West can't possibly the the hooded killer. Mr. Nakamura would never have recognized him, much less have been shocked at the revelation.

Well, I guess we just need to wait for some more of those heroes to get introduced to form any better theories.

Parkman--victim vs. villain?

Victim theory:
"Someone" is tracking down the original Company members. That would include Maury Parkman. Given his senior status in the Company he could have guessed that "someone" would use a clairvoyant like Molly to detect him and put a hit on him. The nightmares are simply a defense mechanism.
Similarly, the mastermind could have tricked Matt and Nathan into hunting down (and killing) Maury so their living nightmares were also a way to defend himself.

Villain theory:
We see that Maury is a telepath (far more advanced, even) like his son. When Matt and Nate came to the apartment, he could have telepathically spied on them and placed the "symbol" on his portrait by himself, knowing that Matt and Nathan are questioning him.
Furthermore, his facial expression as he left is certainly suspicious...

Corollary to villain theory:
He could have used his power to get Angela Petrelli to harm herself.

Kaito's killer may have been just another nightmare, causing Kaito to push himself over the ledge.
Man, I was SO happy when that happened! I about fell off the couch!
For a few minutes, I actually believed that Daddy Parkman might actually be innocent, and Molly only tracked Nightmare Man to his apartment because he was there dropping off the picture, but after the rest of that episode... he's totally the villain. The must have seen Matt coming and made up the picture of himself to get their guard down. These powers also would be consistent with the other deaths we've seen so far.
Yeah. Um, wow??
Well, I'm thinkin' it's cuz Hiro changed the future. Everything Hiro had done in the past has affected the future. Meaning, when he went back to see Charley 5 months before (I guess) he ends up at a birthday party and is the reason Charley even has the japanese dictionary in the first place.

As well, he's the reason the Battle of 12 Swords even existed, and I guess Hiro would be the "Dragon" who teaches Kensei to control his power. I dunno. XD But, I think it's all cuz of Hiro.

And who's Adam Monroe? New question. Apperently he's very dangerous and knows what's going on.

Oh! And I heard that Future Hiro suppost to make an appearance. Probably cuz he knows how he f-ed up the past and screwed up the future. *shrugs*
Are you sure it's Hiro's fault? Personally, I think this future is the fault of the virus. Remember, Mohinder protested the company's exeramenting on the virus for fear that it would mutate and spread to the general population. Me, I think that's exactly what a hppened in the future, and the quest to stop it will end up driving the rest of this season.

As for Hiro... well, for one thing, have to voice my continued displeasure with this whole story arc. I really just didn't care that Kensei turned on Hiro, since they only gave us the cliff note version of his "conversion" in the first place. That rant aside, I think if we were to see the affects of Hiro's actions, they would be a LOT bigger. Seems like Japan using firearms early would affect quite a few things historically. That said, I still can't wait to see how Hiro tries to fix all this. ESPECIALLY if Future Hiro is gonna be involved (though I expect that if he DOES make an appearence, it'll be confined to Peter's future jaunt)
It appears that Season 2 will end in episode 11, due to the writers strike. Or, it could be a repeat of season 1 with ungodly long hiatus between episodes.

If it's a good "ending," I'll be satisfied. However I feel compelled to protest this strike somehow, since flipping the bird to consumers in order to get more pay/benefits/whatever doesn't actually do the consumer any good.

I'm sorry. I know this is a "no politics" board, but I ALWAYS break the picket line whenever the greasy trolls at the Safeway want to screech for more salary.

Well...Last night's episode was crazy episode. They finally have direction now instead of playing catch up.
Well, apperently I was right. Hiro did end up changing the future. Funny thing is, we were seeing his changes all along. I.e. The episodes (and ALOT of backstory) happened because Hiro moved in on Kensei's (the English man version's) girl. Because of that, Kensei gets ticked and fills his head with "changing history" and, I bet, alot of the Comapny's "old policies" and changing his name to Adam Monroe becoming one of the neatest villains I've seen in a while. XD Immortality. Wow. Sylar just became a side-villain. You can't beat a Samurai dude. lol
Yeah, I thought that was obvious by now.

Because of the writers strike the Heroes: Origins has been cancelled. It was to be a different show with different characters and different powers, and one of the characters would be graduated to the main show by way of viewer support.

It seems that if the writers strike is not resolved soon that the mid-season cliff hanger will be the season finale (with some creative rewriting).
