prayer for India water pollution
well I've seen on national news, how polluted the Ganges river is and I just wanted to lift up some prayers that they will recognized that GOD is the only one that can purify the river, and that GOD will purify it to show is glory, mercy, and unending love and grace.

I just came back from Mumbai/Bombay. I didn't check out the waters there but I didn't really need to.
In this area, there is most likely overpopulation (so many ppl all over the place!) and the living conditions can be horrible. More accurately, there's a huge gap between the poor and rich. I'm humbled, realizing that I have it good in Singapore.
I was also in Mumbai/Bombay during the week of a major religious processions where their god Ganesha is immersed into water (probably the river was used).
On a side note, ppl in some rural places are still brutally killed without any intervention from the government. E.g. in the news, I read that an elderly woman was beaten up to death by villagers who accused her as a witch and some men were dragged by trucks when they refused to work...it's just crazy.
