Have you heard of this movie? It looks awesome. It's like a musical-turned-drama. Set in the '60s.

Looked VERY trippy...like it was made for people to watch under the influence.

Ehhh.....

Unless I hear some really, really great reviews I don't think I'll see it. Movies of that era tend to be surprisingly.... similar.

Hey, it has a 51% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, all because they say the love story's cliched. Oh well. I'm gonna see it. At least Bono has a cameo.

The content is all Beatles songs. I know nothing of the plot, aside from Beatle elements thrown in.

It's done by the lady who adapted Lion King to broadway. Make of that what you will. My first thought was that it looked like a Baz Lurman film.

I love The Beatles with a passion, but I've got no desire to see this thing at all. All the songs have already been done well once, and the story... well, that's just been DONE.

Yeah, that's one reason I wanna see it. But this sure doesn't look like another Moulin Rouge, which was just TERRIBLE.

Look, I love The Beatles as much as the next person, but between Target ads, "Love", and this movie, I am getting pretty sick of them. And the fact that they seem to be using cover songs for the entire soundtrack just...ugh. The plot...looks...pretty tired, to say the least. "Jude" and "Lucy". Sheesh. Will there also be someone named "JoJo" or "Eleanor" to pop up, just to reinforce that the writers have, in fact, listened to the songs?

I think I'll just rewatch "A Hard Day's Night". More power to you if you think this looks good, though.

Anyone actually see this finally? I just saw it yesterday and though it was a bit long I overall enjoyed it. Visually awesome movie with good music (don't throw anything but yes I prefer some of the way some of the songs were done in here as opposed to the actual recording by the beatles. Yes I know I don't deserve to live sorry >.<)

Funny thing though but yes there is a Jojo and Prudence and yes prudence comes in through the bathroom window >.<

From what I understand there is also supposed to be an underlying
anti-war subtext to it.
