I'm praying for you.

I've had a problem with H stuff as well, but after a long painful battle I finally reached the point where I hated anything associated with lust simply becuase it pushed me away from God. And I truly feel like I need to be close to Him. I don't feel right otherwise.

Still, I realize that every day of my life is a battle, and I have to constantly be on guard against that temptation because I know it could come back at anytime. But I'm so much better than I was. And whether it's overnight or after a long time, I have faith that you will reach that point in your life as well.

Also, remember the wilderness. God occasionally leads people through pain in order for us to become strong and powerful through our faith in Him.

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" - Christ the Lord (John 11:25-26)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1:2-4.

Remember - the Lord will be with you - always. :)

Well, they read it.

And we had a discussion.

A little surprisingly, I was a lot more comfortable talking about it after they had been given an explanation on what Hentai is in the Anime community. And even better, after going to AI I felt a lot more open with talking about it.

And we both reached an understanding. My parents came to understand just how desperately I needed a friendship, and I now feel more comfortable talking to them about more personal concerns I might have.

As for when, or if. If ever. I'll make any friends where I live is unknown. I do want to meet some CAAers in the RL next year, but I now want friends all the time. Unfortunately, a week isn't enough for me. I need at least 5 years with someone, and then another 10, and then 20, 30, 40. Just keep multiplying. I don't want to go back to my old life of spending my life on a computer while being isolated. But these questions even I can't answer, all I can do is try to look towards the future.

I also need to thank all of you for your prayers and support. I can't even begin to emphasis how much of a difference this has made for me. And I believe this goes far beyond my H addiction, but something I've been craving for years: friendship and repairing a broken relationship between my parents.

Thank you.

Hey good job Alex, I knew you could do it! We can all be your friends if you like, all you have to do is just PM, email, or even IM us and then we can all be good friends in the Lord. The Lord encourages us to find good friends. And as you said its not good to be isolated most of the time, although I like it because the people at school really annoy me and this is even at a christian private school! But anyways Id like to be your friend so just pm if you want to talk. I know Im a junior and your a senior, but it shouldn't really matter. So anyways good job on telling them that and praise the Lord!

Praise God!

Alex, you did the right thing, bud. It's pretty cool to hear your story sounding quite like mine, parents-wise, that they're there for you. Keep it up and don't lose the fire :thumb:

To put it honestly, I think I'm in a worse state then I was when I started this topic.

H is no longer the subject. I'm still struggling with it, but now a much greater concern has come.

This is the last week of summer before school starts for me, and if I'm unable to make any changes in my personal social life, I'll have spent 3 1/2 years online without, well, anyone.

Because of this struggle, or unfortunate event, I've slowly been changing and for the worse. My faith as a result of this prolonged loneliness is falling to dangerous levels. And I'm finding it harder and harder to live every day.

No one has a solution on how to fix this. Not me, not my parents, no one. All we can do is pray.

I'll be praying for you...Just keep being patient and keep asking God for opprotunities for you to find some friends in real life...Also, ask Him to fill that lonliess within you...It might not seem like he's answering u right now, but He promised each of us that He will work for our good in any circumstances, whether they be good or bad (Romans 8:28)...
Does you by chance happen to have a youth group at your church or anyone around your age there?...If so, that might be a good place to look...

About the youth group and people there being my own age, both fell apart. That's why we're going to a new church.

The youth group stopped before I could join, and everyone had already made up their minds about me for the 2 years I was there.

I did have one friend there since I was 12, but we both came apart due to my Aspie obsession with Anime. Which he had no interest in, and was all I would focus on.

I have very good news, but you'll have to wait a week.

I'll be asking for one last prayer. (I'm very needy XD)

The use of a computer for 2 1/2 years has affected my hands and I might be developing Carpel Tunnel syndrome.

I'll be off line all week as a result, and we're going to the doctor to see what I can do for my hands along with buying a new keyboard.

Update: Good news, it isn't Carpel Tunnel. Just repetitive motions affecting my hands. My doctor told me I'll need a new keyboard, and to just simply CUT DOWN on using my computer.

As for the good news, it seems there's a chance of me finding someone at my new church. I met someone who apparently is into video games as much as me. "Do you own a Saturn?" "How many games do you have?" XD And it seems I'm very hard to forget, as some old classmates who hadn't seen me since I was 13 recognized me instantly. We'll have a lot to catch up on in our lives.

So, progress is being made. And I'm taking this slowly, but there seems to be hope. And I can't be more then thankful for it.
